Do you listen to music on...

Do you like to listen to music on the radio, your computer, cd player, diskman or do you tune into much music...or whatever music channel you have on TV? And what kind of music is your favorite?

For me, i dont listen to the radio too often, if i do its before bed. I am mostly on the computer so i alwasy have music on there. I have some cd's, and the odd time i watch some much music. My favorite is the computer, because i can listen to whatever i want whenever i want, and i dont have to change cd's or anything.

DeathsHand 03-12-2002 12:47 AM

I love my CD player... got it for Xmas 2000... it's one of them 3 CD changer things... it also has radio and dual tape deck and such...

I also have a bunch of MP3s I ripped from my CDs, but my CD-rom broke when I was in the middle of doing all that soo I don't have them all... now and then I listen to an MP3 or two when the CD the song is on isn't in the CD changer and I'm too lazy to get up ;)

but overall, I don't have great speakers... and MP3s aren't 100% CD quality are they? I dunno... I just know it doesn't sound good as my CD player... aaaand it also slows the computer down... like I open a new window or a pop-up on IE comes up and the MP3 repeats like one split second of the song maybe 5 times and then moves on to where it would have been if the song continued out all normal... I don't like it... plus I don't like to just D/L a ton of free music...

And you can't sit in bed from 1AM to 3AM or later listening to korn, adema, system of a down, etc blasting into your ears over some nice big comfy earphones can you? CAN YOU!? DOES AN MP3 PLAYER ON A COMPUTER HAVE A REMOTE!? NOOOO :p

Oh yeah, and I always have a lot of trouble getting good reception for the radio... plus they play too much sucky crap...

So does MTV... plus ya gotta sit through too many commercials...

Now maybe if I had that XM satellite radio............... *rubs chin*

TheGrimReaper 03-12-2002 12:48 AM

Stereo for me.

Much better sound than computer.

DimHalo 03-12-2002 12:55 AM

I mostly listen to cds in a 3 cd changer (or in my car 12) and mp3 on my computer. I prefer the cds because i have a remote for that, but i am at my computer a lot so its not too hard to listen to mp3s. I hate the radio because i can never find a station that plays all music i like so i have to keep switching. (also there are no stations where my college is...jeepnut can vouch for that)

GameMaster 03-12-2002 02:31 AM

Computer. It's in my room, got very nice speakers, got cable and LimeWire to get all my songs (sorry DeathsHand), and one of best MP3 players out there, iTunes.

In the car, I listen to the radio. Our Toyota Avalon has JBL speakers and it get's great reception. 99.7 KFRC Oldies and Smooth Jazz 103.7 all the way!

Revival 03-12-2002 09:55 AM

Radio and Computer.

Angrist 03-12-2002 11:31 AM

Can't some mod make it a multiple choice poll???

Computer (only the best songs)
Radio (whatever is on)
Car (sometimes)

Ginkasa 03-12-2002 05:12 PM

I usually "watch" my music. Its just the easiest way to do it, IMO.

BlueFire 03-12-2002 05:33 PM

CD Player and PC.

marionette 03-12-2002 05:52 PM

cd. i love my cd player. :)

Cyrax9 03-12-2002 08:27 PM

You couldn't by any chance add Stereo Mini system, to the poll, could you?

I use a Sterepo Mini System, with a 3-CD changer AM/FM Radio, Dual Cassette Decks, and an External LP/45 Record Player aka Turntable. The Dual Cassette Decks Need Repair though. I'll listen to almost any Kind of music on any player. I have 1 Stereo Mini-system in My Room, a PC with a DVD-ROM drive and CD Burner that both polay CD's on a 4.1 speaker system, a Sony CD Sports Walkman (Cassette with a Stopwatch, clock, and AM/FM Radio), a SOny Sports Walkman (CD Player that's CD-R/RW compatible and has an AM/FM Radio), a Sony Discman (CD only), a Sanyo Portable Cassette player (no radio, but has recording capabilities), and that's only in my bedroom. I'm a huge Audiophile, and have all sorts of music and equipment to play it on, everything from 60's folk to Punk Rock, to Game Soundtracks, to Pop. In fact Jusdt this weekend at a K*Mart Liquidation sale I bougt a Final Fantasy CD with songs from FF VI,VII,VIII, and IX. The CD is "Music inspired by Final Fantasy", and is preformed by the Hollywood Symphony Orchestra. I payed $6.00 bucks for what normally would cost $17.00! This shows that liquidation sales are a great way to get stuff, especially music.

PureEvil 03-12-2002 09:50 PM

Music videos on the tv, and when I'm on the computer (Like right now), I listen to cds (in a cd player) and the radio.

Almost never do I listen to music on my computer.

Drunk Hobbit 03-12-2002 10:09 PM

Computer only. Most of the stuff I listen to doesn't appear on TV nor can it be bought in most music stores. And import CDs are too expensive. Gotta get myself a portable Mp3 player one of these days.

Joeiss 03-12-2002 10:13 PM

I listen to music in a bunch of different ways, so I didn't vote. :p

I listen to the radio every morning when my brother drives me to school. I listen to Q 107. I occasionally listen to CDs when we drive up too. I also listen to the radio every night, it helps me fall asleep, or something like that. I listen to CDs whenever I am chilling in my room. I have a really nice CD player, with really wicked bass. And I hardly ever listen to music on my computer. This is because my computer is crap, and I don't want my internet access to slow down because of music.

Yugi Starwind 03-13-2002 04:18 PM

It was a tie between computer and CD player,so I voted computer because I use my CD player sometimes.

D-Man 03-13-2002 08:49 PM

Well, I have a cassette player, no CD player. I listen to music on the radio (in the car mostly), and sometimes on my computer.

Gamer 03-13-2002 10:09 PM

hehe, he said cassette player...:D

jk man.

D-Man 03-17-2002 01:17 PM

:p

I think because someone voted earlier today and it showed up as a "New post". I hope VB takes that feature out...its really annoying.

I just voted now, and then I realized how old it was...hmm, well to answer the question, I like listening on a stereo and the radio the most.

MP3 Player all the way.

CD player for sure. The radio is only good for NPR, Oldies 98, and 91.3 (University of Delaware station). I don't have many MP3's, so not much on the computer. I usually listen to music in my car too...I like to bump that ****.

The only time I use something other than my computer to play music is in the car.

Since you live in the Philly area too, do you listen to 102.9 MGK Classic Rock? That's probably my favorite station here.

I know that it exists, but I'm not the biggest classic rock fan, so I probably don't listen to it all that often.

Re: Do you listen to music on...

Usually my CD/MP3 playing discman, but it's because my MP3 USB memory storage thingy broke. I'm trying to get that fixed.

I listen to music on my PC, but it's not very often since I don't live at home anymore. :(

And very rarely, I listen to my walkman (cassette playing walkman, not a Sony discman).

Meh, I'll post too.

I listen to music through everything but discmans and MP3 players. When I have free time when I'm away from home (which is a heck of a lot) I always snap out the Gameboy.
