Re: i wonder if anyone is aware of this...
Yeah, there's talk that RotS will get a PG-13 rating, rather than the typical PG rating of Star Wars movies.
Guys who have been incinerated in lava usually don't go over well with kids. /me shrugs and walks away |
Re: i wonder if anyone is aware of this...
StarWars is not a children's story. It's a story for people coming of age, who are just beginning to realize their destinies and are preparing to choose whether to serve the Dark Side or the Light Side. I think all of the StarWars films should be marked PG-13 so that children are prevented from seeing it.

Re: i wonder if anyone is aware of this...
Oh jeez, I dont think Parents will stop their kids from seeing the movie. Star wars isn't the best of movie to take kids to anyways but meh, kids will learn violence sometime ;)

Re: i wonder if anyone is aware of this...
I think Lucas will continue breaking my heart with his new Star Wars movies that can't live up to the glory of the originals.

Movie. This is the last one. Sadly. He should make more....but they should be better....like the ones made in the 70's. Those were actually good. Maybe he should re-make them? Or make some that happened before "Episode 1"....or maybe some that are after Episode 6. He'll never do it....but we can hope and pray. |
Re: i wonder if anyone is aware of this...
I think this will probably be like the Harry Potter movie who got a PG rating.... Correct me if I'm wrong.
Seriously, I think a lot more people will be concerned about getting a good movie rather than what rating it'll be because the last two was severely disappointing. Can't comment on them though because I'm hardly a fan. My mom on the other hand... Well, to put it simply, her hormone level was the highest during that era and Harrison Ford was the supposedly the hottest thing going around then... So go figure... |
Re: i wonder if anyone is aware of this...
****, that man's still hot!
and typhoid, let's just pray that lucas retires from making SW movies after this one. cuz really, can you actually see them getting better? |
Re: i wonder if anyone is aware of this...
meh.
I saw a ton of violent movies when I was a child and I havent committed any crimes...if a little bit of violence bothers people, they have bigger things to worry about in life than missing out on Star Wars episode 3. |
Re: i wonder if anyone is aware of this...
Fox 6, please never again post pictures from an unreleased movie without stating that it is a SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You **** face. |

Annoying aint it
To be honest... SWEET... hopefully the film might be better in some ways then. So many brilliant stories are made crap by th films. (Even though this is originally a film script :hmm: but anyway) take jurassic park or the lord of the rings as prime examples. Books: absolute brilliance Films: absolute dog turd.
My point being, fook anyone else, some of these types of films would be well better if they were 18+ or whatever and you know it. Imagine if the new SW film were an 18: it would be like: Kuuu Huuu... Kuu Huu... I will own you all - :vader: :Pulse: - Up yours @*&%$£"! ...:hmm:... anyway you get what I mean? And imagine padme in a 18+ :bendover: :hump: :stud: |

Re: i wonder if anyone is aware of this...
I still don't get all the hate surrounding the prequels. I have, personally, found the prequels to be enjoyable so far. Sure, TPM was aimed far too much towards children, but the action scenes were fun, and I find the political scenes to be very interesting (this is the rise of Palpatine for crying out loud).
AotC is my second/third favorite Star Wars film (it switches with ANH; ANH has better direction, but I have more fun watching AotC so...). Neither the acting nor dialogue was so bad as to kill the film, and you can never go wrong with the Fetts. I just don't get why everyone seems ot absolutely hate the prequels... /me shrugs and walks away |
Re: i wonder if anyone is aware of this...
i'm not a big fan of SW at all...i literally fell asleep during Episode one...inside the movie theatre!
although i find the games to be much better. just now i beat SW: KotOR, which is a really good RPG game...and i had fun playing it and going through the story line. i'm thinking maybe if i watch all the movies like they were supposed to be watched, then i would enjoy the entire series...but right now i just don't have that much time on my hands. |
Re: i wonder if anyone is aware of this...
Who the hell cares about kids? The less of them I have to see at the movie, the better.

Me sa jar jar binks. Me in da mooovee tooo appeals toooo four year olds.
I'm sorry, but the context in the original 3 star wars movies was girtty, dark and bleak....and even scandelous. Jaba totally made laya[sp] his love slave. Anyway....episode 1 and 2 were both so G-rated. I mean, what the hell do you need an uber-leet Jedi Alliance for when the Empire is a giant p|ussy? Think about it: you have the force. You have a mysterious limitless budget to build things like Deathstars and Star Destroyers. Are you going to do G-rated things? I don't think so. There better be more force griping, and more force abuse. I mean, damn. Even Han Solo ran off a few swear words. Personally, I can't stand Episode 1 anymore, and Episode 2 is decent....probably because it doesn't feature a 10 minute long pod racing scene which was an obvious plug for a videogame... The thing is, Peter Jackson came into the picture 3 years ago, he released 3 movies, all within a shorter time span, and he kicked Star Wars' ass. The comparison is apt, because the Lord Of The Rings was really the first grand scale book that focused purely on good vs. evil. Honestly, my expectations for Episode 3 are pretty low. But if making it PG-13 is necessary to convey the Star Wars theme, then I'm all for it. |

AotC, at least, has the "dark" and "bleak," and this thread alone signifies RotS is going have more than the classic trilogy combined. Besides, just because a movie is "dark and gritty" doesn't mean its good. Quote:
And what in God's name are talking about Jedi Alliances and Empires? The Empire isn't even formed yet. Are you talking about the Separatists? They aren't the Empire, and what gave you the impression they were a huge vagina? And the Jedi never had an alliance beyond just theur basic order. Are you talking about the Rebel Alliance? That doesn't exist, either. Quote:
[quote]There better be more force griping, and more force abuse. I mean, damn. Even Han Solo ran off a few swear words.[q/uote] So, essentially, you just want Vader, right? Except for the Force Lightning in RotJ, he's the only guy in the classic trilogy who used the Dark Side. And what about swear words? So what? Like that makes a movie? Besides, Dex swears in AotC. And I'm fairly certain only Obi-Wan swore in the classic trilogy. Han gives off a, "I'll see you in hell!" but I'm pretty sure that's it. Quote:

You know, I'm really hoping your trying to be funny in some way, 'cause the only other two alternatives are that you're simply spewing out what people have told you, or you're really stupid. Either way, s'not good. /me shrugs and walks away |
Re: i wonder if anyone is aware of this...
I think that making it PG-13 is interesting, but it might have an immidiate boost to sales that most weren't expecting. I think some people (like Gremlin :D) will see that it has PG-13, think that that will make it cooler because it is more violent, and want to see it.
Thats just my opinion, but so many people want to see the bloody movies and the more action packed movies. Now, it might ruin the running of a clean trilogy, but who cares for the sake of money? |
