I did that right didn't I? There's a 30% chance of rain, so the odds are 7 to 1 that it will actually rain.

I bet assuming I'll receive 3x my bet (assuming I bet no) if it does not rain, and 7x my bet (assuming I bet yes) if it does rain. I am confident that I will not be disappointed with the outcome.

It says it won't rain until 12 AM, which means that people who bet on "no rain" should win...I think. |

if the odds of rain are 30%, odds should be 10/3 (close to 3/1) (meaning if you make a bet of 3, and you win, you get 10 in return)
the odds of no rain would be 70%, making the odds for that 10/7 (you'd have to make a bet of 7 to get 10 in return) |

According to the weather.com Boston received .05 inches on Wednesday. Light rain started sometime before 11:54 pm local time. I'll settle the bets now.

i really must say, i found it suprising so many bet no rain. that 30% is decieving.

I figured SOME part of Boston would get SOME rain. And .05 inch is very small... but, I was correct on that thought. Big win.

From now on admins and mods will be able to post vBookie events in the "Contests" forum. If a bet is related to a sporting event then it may be placed in the "Tailgaters" forum.
Several price reductions have been implemented in the store. If the loyal member discount applies to you the price automatically takes it into account. Btw, does anyone know the difference between writing "into" and "in to"? |
