Not too shabby so far. I just hope it plays as good as it sounds/looks on a DS.

God.....I never though I'd be saying this....but those graphics look ghetto compared to the PSP's Ridge Racer graphics.

Wow the graphics suck. I won't be buying this now

The scanned image leads people to believe that the game's grpahics are grainy but they are quite the contrary: fluid and smooth. Not buying this game would only be a disservice to yourself.

i dont think anyone thinks the games graphics are grainy at all. but honestly they suck :p thats not to say the game wont be good, i just never liked N64 and PS graphics, it was like the 8bit graphics of the 3d generation.

If I made a graphically superior game with crappy gameplay, would you buy it?

you're taking things way too personally, its a game. some games dont look as good as others, deal with it.

it has nothing to do with the series tho. nothing to do with how good any of the games are, and not anything to do with anything but this game. and as i said in the post. that isnt to say the game isnt good.

Yeah....no kidding. The gameplay might be all fine and spiffy, but if it looks like crap it looks like crap.

And, strangely enough, good graphics can often bring a game to life.

Was that sarcasm....?

Anyway...

I don't see how the graphics suck. It may just be me, but I think they look quite nice, especially considering how the game would have looked on the GBA. To not buy a game just 'cause its not top-notch in the graphics department is stupid. Even more so when you account for the limitations of the hardware.

Yup. I plan on owning a PSP and a DS.

/me looks at his Xbox, Gamecube and PS2

Oh, what's that Mr. Me? You buy games on the Xbox and Gamecube over the PS2 when the option is available?

Yup. If I can get the game with better graphics on another one of my consoles, I will.

The graphics are good if you compare them to the GBA. The GBA is last generation's hardware.

There are a lot of video games out there, and I don't have very much money. I'm not going to get a game "just because the graphics are good" and I'm not going to get a game "just because the gameplay is good." I'm only going to buy games that satisfy both, or are top-notch in one or the other... and unless that game there is top-notch in gameplay (which I doubt it'd compare to GT4), then it'd not merit purchase from me. As well... if there's the PSP version with superior graphics, I'd much rather pick it up.
