And why dont they rent out computer games? Because you can copy them? You could copy the old PS1 games, and they rented those, and there is probably way to copy PS2 or Xbox games. Maybe im retarted and living in a fantasy land.

Libraries here used to rent out PC games... not sure if they still do it. :unsure:

Anyway, World of Warcraft is a MMORPG that's different than the others. Very easy to pick up, very fast questing/party-making...

8 Races, 9 classes, 10 mounts, set in the Warcraft world, made by Blizzard..... :D:D:D:D:D

actually its much better then the other mmorpg's.

i had fun with it when i was playin the beta. just with all the mods that are going come out so quickly with HL2, im thinkin i might get hooked.

i havnt been really really hoocked on a game since Rocket arena on Quake 3. i was hooked playing that for 5 years as almost the only game i played.

some mods on unreal 2k3/2k4 hooked me for a couple months. but im hoppin to find my 1 game again on HL2. im actually back playin Q3 rocket arena again right now. lol. been a couple years and some of the people i used to play with are still online playin. hehe

Yeah dude. That game looks sweet. I been looking forward to it for a while. Warcraft has always been a favourite series of mine even though I never completed Warcraft 3.

Actually on that note, anyone got any tips. Havent played Warcraft 3 in a while. I cant get past the level where you are the undead army and you are trying to summon this evil dude. You gotta protect him for 30 mins against 3 or 4 human armies. I always loose in the last 2 - 3 minutes. Annoying.

I learned the lesson about MMORPGs the hard way, with FFXI. Though I was once interested in buying this game, never again will I touch any MMORPG.

not all MMORPGs are bad acually...i agree that some are...but there are some free ones that are acually good, Ragnarok Online for one, is a good game, it's not free but if you know where to look you can find dozens of private servers, if you'd like i can give you 3...i don't play it anymore though, i play ConquerOnline now, it's a free MMORPG, and it's pretty good

When I said I learned a lesson about MMORPGs, it wasn't about the quality of their gameplay.

It's the fact that if you take them too seriously, you can ruin your social life and start to fail school. It almost happened to me. That's why I am never playing another one again. They are pointless. Anyone who has enough brains in their head to quit a game like FFXI will tell you the same thing.

I was once a FFXI junkie. I tried to quit, but I kept getting urges, I just couldn't stop no matter how hard I tried.




And then I found out I could get real money for my account, so I ended it.

This is my 5 step process.

Thanks ;) Well,we all know Blizzard...When the say they re going to release a game,they delay it for x>8 months with the excuse of beta playing/bug reporting.(Diablo 2 was my favourite delay,i think they overdid it)

I would accept this reason,if they kept their word.Every blizzard game has at least 10patches in its versions (wc3 TFT has 17 versions of patching and D2 10)so it makes me wonder wtf are they doing there?My inside information sais that they just play the game and eating the company's money(no wonder why they replace 30% of their emploees per year)So what can i say more than patience.Every time,blizzard games deserve our patience 2 times more :)

Well, now that the US&AU versions are coming out, there's not much bug fixing to do. They just need to translate it to German and French I think. :mad: My stupid neighbours are too lazy to learn English. :(

One thing I find funny about this.

First off, no offense to anyone here.


My friend calls everyone a ***. Everyone. If you play FF, your a ***. If you walk a certain way, your a ***.

Well, every time i ask him what hes doing, he says "Playoing WoW" or "About to play WoW" or "Just finished playing WoW."

He spent like, 17 hours non-stop playing it.

This is the new Diablo.

I've been playing the game for 2 hours and I'm now a human, female paladin of level 5.
Sweet game, so much nicer than EverQuest.

I'm playing on 'test 19', so if anyone wants to join..... (well the sign-ups for the open beta are already closed, but perhaps you already have an account)

I started a Orc Warlock last week, I love him! Being a warlock means summoning monsters, destruction magic and more.

As profession, I have tailoring. So I can make clothes and bags. I just sold my first 2 bags, that was cool. I think I was being nice to the kid, quite cheap, but I still made a profit.

Anyway, I'd love to play the retail version, but I just don't the time/money for it. :( Hopefully I'll get into the European beta and it'll last for a couple of months...

I doubt I'll ever play a MMORPG.

I can't imagine paying additional money for a game each month. Or the time it takes and commitment to get a decent experience out of it.

The game issssss.......... Quite entertaining...

I've never played a MMORPG before... But I just lurve the way things work... I wander around leveling up by myself (undead warrior), run into an undead mage, we join up, run around, find a place with powerful monsters where some higher level mage is struggling against them by himself, join up with him... Eventually find a priest to help keep us alive...

And find the time to take a nice relaxing flight on the zeppelin (which I found to be quite an amazing experience as well):



I can't wait until I get further into the game... can't wait can't wait...

The only problem is with so many realms, it's hard to meet up with people you know unless you all decide in advance which server to use...

I'm on Eastern Zone "Dalaran"...

Screen name DeathsHandLP, character name (only character I have so far) "Leroy" (tried to use the name that fit an undead warrior the least)

Hehe, I know, it's sweet.

Here's a tip for when you're making screenshots: Alt+Z gets rid of the menus. In the options menu you can get rid of the character names. That's how I made the last of my screenshots.

And yeah, it would be nice if you could switch realm... :(

wow...the graphics on the real version are a sh*t load better than the beta...that changes my opinion about the game a bit :p
