It REALLY needs the sword through the Z.

Dyne 12-12-2002 11:25 PM

I wonder if it'll be a gold disc as well. :D

It looks cool regardless. The OoT box was gold too.

Why? because 3 out of 9 zelda games had a sword? big whoop.

im not going deep into this again. but pretty much every zelda game has had a differnt logo behind that Z, why should they start doing things differnt now?

I looked at your little post before but I forgot if I replied or not, but I figured that, counting games on main consoles (before Wind Waker), 4 out of 5 Zelda games (I think it was) had a shield AND/OR sword... And it doesn't matter if it's both shield and sword or if they look the same, it's just the fact that there's a shield and/or sword because well... Link uses a shield and sword ;)

MM I think was the only one that had a different logo, which, of course, was also the last Zelda game to be released on a major console...

As for Handheld games, I havn't played any of them, but you said that Link's Awakening had the shield and sword or just a shield or something, I forgot... but then the other two were totally different... which is one out of 3 handheld games, which means a total of 5 out of 8 Zelda games had a shield and/or sword and they didn't change that until the most recent Zeldas...

Thank you and have a nice day

ah, but you see, what im saying is SWORD, people keep complaining about the SWORD.

wasnt about a shield.

and theres no denying that pretty much every zelda game has had a differnt logo. be it the boat is the most differnt out of them all.

im not complaining about people complaining about a shield, infact ive seen no one complain about a shield. its only the sword. and the very first zelda that started it all had no sword in sight on the logo on the box.

Infact, i think its far more of a tradition that the box be gold. i see no tradition in any way of what is behind the word zelda in the logo. they've always played with that.

GameKinG 12-13-2002 12:55 AM

Who cares about some sword! I dont want people going to this forum thinking this is what we talk about.

Angrist 12-13-2002 04:25 AM

Well, it's true! :( :D

Cool, I hope the disc is gold too!

At the moment I have 3 out of 8 Zelda games gold. Not sure if they released any more here....

Jonbo298 12-13-2002 06:38 AM

I saw this awhile ago and its very nice. The gold is a nice touch to the greatness of Zelda.:D

magus113 12-13-2002 07:32 AM

i like it

especially the new touch to the logo

i really dont care about the swords and crap

fine, link uses a sword and shield. so what? He uses magic, and slingshots, and wooden sticks (which i found no use for except lighting torches btw).

so if you think that the game would only revolve around swords then think about some fire or a deku stick behind the Z.

DeathsHand 12-13-2002 02:51 PM

I don't care about the sword/shield either (it's just a logo :p ), but people complain, and someone says something like only 3 Zelda games have had a sword and shield or something, but I point out that like 6 or whatever it was have had a shield and/or sword...

:sneaky:

So yes, let people who visit the forums not think we talk about shields and swords. Let us think we talk about game logos in general.
