http://www.cube-europe.com/newsphp/news.php?id=3093

(Yes i do work at cube europe and i did post that so dont even ask)

Why does one of the screens say megaton in english?
*hopes that a redone OoT isnt the HUGE megaton anouncement*.... anyway.. cool stuff

Dyne 11-27-2002 10:27 PM

Hey... wut the? That's not much of a graphical improvement...

Yeah, what's up with "Megaton"? Lol......

You say not to ask, but I will ask anyways. What the heck? Are these even real?

GameMaster 11-27-2002 10:30 PM

Those are very primitive looking screenshots.

Someone put the Megaton in there to stir up controversy, don't get too ruffled about it.

GameKinG 11-27-2002 10:30 PM

Ok, its not the megaton announcement people. Lets use common sense. It also wouldnt mention in it a game made years ago.

Spike_Spiegel 11-27-2002 10:57 PM

Why in the heck is the C-Button item configuration still in some of the pictures? Shouldn't it be using a C-Stick configuration now since this will be running on the GameCube?

Except for the first two screenshots (of a Japanese menu with control options) it would be rather easy to capture screenshots off the N64 version and "clean them up" to make them seem slightly updated.

Edit: I think the person named themselves after the Megaton Hammer you get in the Fire Temple.

Dyne 11-27-2002 11:03 PM

Good work Spike_Spiegel. I agree with you.

Didn't anyone notice how fake this one was?.... Check out this lens-flare behind Link.

If any of you have experience with Photoshop, you'll notice it right away. Also, check out that make-shift shadow behind Link... oh boy. The title is pasted; if you look closely, it completely rules out the "The Legend of".

I knew these were fishy. It's really easy to take the main title and turn it blue anyways.

EDIT: Konflarnit, even IGN thinks they're real. What bastards... they thought the last set of screenshots were real.

Hmm very weird. C-buttons.... no improvement at all (running the rom on an emulator gives the same high res), pasted title and stuff...
Where did you find them Izumi???

And I was wondering if you were her since the day you started at C-E. The webmasters are Dutch, like me! :D

Jason1 11-28-2002 11:10 AM

I dont care if it improves anything or not...Its the best game ever made, you cant go wrong with it.

PuPPeT 11-28-2002 11:21 AM

yea don't know if this is right but i have been told by a few people that the gamecube version is not Zelda Ocarina Of Time it is in fact the N64 DD version that never seen the light of day. Any one know if this is true? be nice if it is as the DD version was more like an update with loads of new stuff in it.

In case none of you have realized it, the reason the pic with Saria says "MEGATON" is because that's where the name you choose for the character goes. In more plain terms, Nintendo's screwing with your heads by putting Megaton as the name, instead of just Link or Bob or Sue ;).

Puppet, the mini-DVD you get in Japan by being one of the first, whatever amount of people it is, to pre-order includes both Legend of Zelda : Ocarina of Time AND Ura Zelda (the DD one) :D.

Dude, check the replies first. Spike Spiegel got there before you.;)

GameKinG 11-28-2002 12:33 PM

Yep, its both. All in all you get 3 games for the price of one Gamecube game.

Ooops! I sort of skimmed over some of the replies to see if anyone had said anything about it and I guess I missed that part of Spiegel's post. Still both of our responses compliment each other. Spike explains the origins of the word and I went a little more in-depth about it.

Dyne: "Come on! That's just bullsh*t!"

Well....errr... I.... ummm

*throws some cards at Dyne and runs away*

I hope Nintendo actually improves graphics a bit....
