Pokemon Dominating the list? Not surprising. And its nice to see 90% of those are on a Nintendo console. :D

Wow, I'm a little surprised to see GTA:3 at #10. But for some reason, I seriously think OoT sold more than 3.5 million units. But this goes to show that just because the '64 wasn't the greatest. It sold well in the games department. But I too am glad and not surprised Nintendo dominates the list. Im just thankful Pokemon didn't take down Mario.:D

*Edit* I also noticed Pokemon Yellow sold more than Blue or Red. Odd. Is there a source where you got this Danny? I would like to know.

Pokemon selling more than Zelda is a national discrace. You people should be ashamed of yourselves.

But, this just proves the fact that nintendo really does make the best games, they just dont pump em out as fast as other consoles.

Nintendo 64, good it did
Top Racing Game in US: Mario Kart 64
Top Fighting Game in US: Super Smash Bros.

I believe that Yellow beat Red and Blue. Why, you ask? Because Pokemon Red and Blue built up a big fan base. And then when yellow was released, lots and lots of people bought that.

and then they were greatly dissappointed and no one bothered with silver and gold.....and crystal wuz just killing it again......all in all the best pokemon games were the first ones

Drunk Hobbit 08-15-2002 04:53 PM

Yeah, I never really became that attached to the new pokémon. The first 151 just couldn't be beat.

GameKinG 08-15-2002 05:20 PM

I think they ran out of good ideas after that.

Having 251 Pokemon was okay..but now with Ruby and Saphire...with more than 300...thats going too far.

why? you dont buy every single game do you?

Well, Nintendo aren't the only RPG makers milking a franchise. In fact, if Nintendo, SquareSoft, Enix etc. don't create another revoloutionary game of a caliber of Dragon Warrior, Final Fantasy VII or Ocarina of Time, the genre could be heading for a dark age indeed.
