Your gaming backlog

Traveling for nearly a month and a half has given me time to realize I love and miss video games. And I don't get to play any until I get back. And I have a lot of games to play.

Game I want to finish because they're great:

Red Dead Redemption
Mass Effect (still have never finished and I wanna play number 2)
NHL 11 (even though it never really ends)
Starcraft 2

Games I want to finish begrudgingly:

Final Fantasy XIII (I want to want to play it)

Games I want to start:

Fallout: New Vegas
Civilization 5
Mass Effect 2
Rock Band 3
Halo Reach
Fable III (will play with my fiance)

What's on your backlog?

I just want to purchase and beat Uncharted 2. Not enough people talk about how awesome that series is.

I guess I could stand to 'beat' Gran Turismo. I don't know what I would consider beating a racing game like that, though. When I own all 1,000+ cars, or when I reach the highest level? Both.

And Super Meat Boy. That game is all sorts of fun. I just wish it was out for PSN. Oh well.

Game I want to finish because they're great:

Starcraft 2 online. Can't really finish that, can you? :D I want to get to Diamond league.
Super Mario Galaxy 2.

Games I want to finish begrudgingly:
Campaign of Starcraft 2. Just 2 levels left, but they're so hard on Brutal. :(

Games I want to start:

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. I loved the sequel and then found this one cheap for the GameCube. It's time for some more Fire Emblem action. :)
Donkey Kong Country Returns. I want to, but probably won't. I have too many games and not enough money/time.

Oh yeah, I have to add Starcraft 2 to my list.

Sean, do you have the first Uncharted?

I did.
A long time ago when I still had it I said I'd give it to you, but you said it didn't interest you, so I ended up selling it.

I was at EB the other day getting a present for my mom, and I'm pretty sure I saw Uncharted for under 20 bucks.

Do I need to play the first one to enjoy the second one?

I don't know. I haven't played the second one. I'll probably pick it up around Christmas - so we can play it together, my love.

I would completely advise you to play the first one. It's a great game. One of the best I've ever played. It was like playing an Indiana Jones movie, while watching the movie.

There isn't a direct relation as far as plot is concerned in the 2nd game, but some characters from the first do make an appearance and it helps to know their relationship from the first game.

And as Typhoid said, they are both terrific games. :)

Maybe we'll have to give the first one a rent...

I'd be willing to sit through that with you.

Well, I got Final Fantasy X in 2002, but totally ditched it once I got a Gamecube and Star Fox Adventures.

I finished Star Fox Assault, but never really went back to it to get better medals.

In Mega Man X Collection, I finished Mega Man X 1 and 2. I think I finished 3, but I don't remember. I can definitely say that I haven't played the final three games on the disc though.

For the PlayStation 2, I got Mortal Kombat: Deception, Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks, and Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, and I haven't played them all that much. I got a bit far in Shaolin Monks when I got it in 2005, but I haven't touched it since.

I've finished The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, and The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, but I haven't bothered to find things I've missed in those games.

My log is backed up farther than my intestines after a week-long macaroni&cheese diet.

It's so backed up I had to drop the log entirely, lest I never be able to shit again. Metaphorically speaking, of course.

All my time is spent playing wow, and leftover time is spent playing the sims. Any time left over from the leftover time is spent reading gaming websites to see everything I'm missing. Between that, work, school, dealing with an angry gf, and whatever else pops up, I barely have time to jerk off anymore.

I'll have to make time next year, though. This was a miserable season for Texas football, and clearly my xbox and I are the only ones who can fix this.

I started Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (GCN) this week. I like it so far, it seems to be almost as good as the Wii sequel.

Also played a bit of SMG2 and the WiiWare demos.

I have taken a break from epic Mickey, the game is both great and terrible at the same time.

Doing some Bayonetta and feeling like I shouldn't have gotten the PS3 version.
