Mr. Anderson...er, Chambers, on behalf of your forums, :bir:

And since you've inducted my birthday smilie into your collection, I should like for it to have the shortcut code :gm:

And I will buy you a present.

Thanks for fostering this place for all these years. It means more to most of us than you'll ever know.

Thanks, you guys are fast.

I'm not sure if I'm going to like being 28, it's so close to 30. Though I do have the benefit of havine been around long enough to remember playing Atari and my family buying our first home computer (I was about 10 or 11). It had an 8088 processor, a 30 MB HD, and somewhere in the neighborhood of 640k RAM. Before the internet we had bulletin board systems which I could access with the 2400 bps modem I bought from Walmart. I setup my own BBS called "Quantum Leap" and let people call in on my phone line. People could post messages and upload and download files. Of course it took a couple hours to download a file which had any real size and if there was line noise that interrupted the connection then you were basically screwed. And when I got my hands on a 14.4 bps modem...holy crap I thought that was fast.
