Actually I was on images.google.com but the URL for the images were actually from Bungie.net and I was on there for quite some time trying to trace them down cuz the original page was a 404.

I believe they look like they are teaming up... in the screen shots Master Chief seems to be fighting a metroid and Samus is fighting a guy from Halo? I've never played either of these games so I dunno.

That's Samus fighting a Halo mob. And Master Chief fighting a boss in Metroid Prime 2 (not a Metroid though).

I'm looking forward to this game, thought it was gonna be released end of this year.

Yep, saw that too. That automatically removes any truth from this, or so I believe. I'm speculating an April Fool joke or just an ordinary prankster with a knack for Photoshop.
