F'in leafs... I get frustrated watching them play, lol.

Philly is just really damn strong... Much more of a physical presence than the leafs... Hopefully we can get Nolan and Dyke back into the line up soon.

So how bout that idea by the NHL to shorten the season to 72 games, and have no season games with teams from opposite conferences?

Personally i kinda like the idea. but i feel detroit gets the short end of that stick. its sayin teams would get less travel because they stay in thier conference... However, thats fine and dandy for teams in the east. but all the east teams are closer for the redwings then the west is. so we'd be traveling longer each time. =/

Some how get wings into east and i love that idea. :p

They should make the season longer, if anything...not dramatically longer though. Because they have too many teams now, and they shortened it by two games a while back. (thats why Wayne Gretzky's consecutive scoring streak will never be broken...84 games) But i dont know about the only conference thing. i like playin the leafs and Habs and whatnot...

the shortened season is pretty much what EVERYONE agree's on. everyone basically loves that part. so dont be surprised if that happens.

Get rid of Nashville and Atlanta for sure....Wtf do they have a team for?....do they know what hockey even is? And ya, i say give Canada back Quebec and Winnipeg...but no shortened seasons...i cant stand that idea. They are making millions of dollars, and they want to play less. I say if anything, if they want shorter seasons, then salaries must also go drastically down.

its not about giving the teams back. they didnt leave to give them somewhere else. im sure the NHL would have prefered a team stayin winnipeg and other places. but when they cant afford to have the team any longer the options are limited.

Shortened season is a GREAT idea. its not about what the players wnat to play less or anything, its about the NHL doing well. and if you want to see the NHL get more popular, there are some things that have to change. the long ass season doesnt suit hockey well when most consider it pointless and say it gets boring.

i love as much hockey as i can get but IMO, i MUCH rather see playoff games come sooner. and with less games they'll get to the playoffs that much quicker.

The inter conference play i am still werry about. i think they need to move some teams around to get the deviding line more equal.



[EDIT] BTW, did anyone predict a sweep for the sharks? lol. Sharks arent handing colorado thier ass's, They're mailing em back to Denver for them.

not really a 'absolutly' must win game last night. Because if it was. what would you call game 4? As much as ppl try to think it or make themselves believe it. its never a must win game untill its a must win game. You cant fake a must win game, when its time its time.

They can still pull it off. Afterall, crazier things in hockey happen

I'd call game 4 a formality. Anytime you go down 3-0, these teams almost always go out in one of the next two games. And anytime you go down 3-0, you lose. Except for twice in the history of seven-game series in all major sports, has that happened. There has to be a reason why it is so.

of course its a mental thing, because winning 4 straight happens all the time. but the thought that you HAVE to win 4 straight messes with your mind..... and its the other team knows they only need 1 which makes it even harder.

And if i remember correctly. yes only 2 teams have ever come back from being down 3-0 in all of sports. Interesting enough (again this is if i remember correctly) BOTH thoes games were in the NHL. Therefor only NHL teams have been able to do it.

i never said they will win. i said its possible, and it always is. What i was saying however is the feeling of the game from a real 'must win' and one you want to believe is a must win are TOTALY differnt. you just cant get that desperate feeling of a must win unless your really in it.

OHHHHH MAN! i am SOOOO glad the wings won this because now it wont seem like im whinning cuz of a loss.

these past couple games in calgary have been some of the WORST ref'n.....strike that. the refs were actually good at what they were tryin to do. screw the wings. i can seriously not remember the last time i've seen it so biased. Calgary will interfere, hook, chop, trip, and the refs will look the other way. There was even some OBVIOUS icing calls that they just didnt call, the tv annoucers couldnt figure it out after watching replays.

Then we get to the end of the game. and omg Calgary is some ***** ass m'fers. Nummenim (sp? damned if i care how to spell the morons name) totally ramed the hell out of Cujo, THERE WAS NO ONE NEAR HIM!!! he just went in full speed with a elbow to cujos head and ramed him!! OMG, theres wings first power play, a 5min major on nummenim with like 10 sec left... WHHHOOOPY!

the NHL better SERIOUSLY be looking at a suspension for him on that. TOTALLY an intent to injure.

oh but wait wait! After he ran into cujo to try and injure him, the ref jumps infront of numminem and and stands guard like a bitch protecting his master, and leads him safly to the other end of the ice away from the fighting in the corner. WTF is with that?!?

Cujo, being the damn good sport he is, just laughed it off and said he's fine he just didnt see it coming and it surprised him. and you just know he was pissed inside about it.

Every channel i looked at including the canadian channel said it. Thats not the linesmens job.

He can break up a fight if it starts but its not his job to single out one person and become his bodyguard.

On the flip side that coulda been bad for Calgary too because if there was a fight that linesmen put calgary a man down. ppl get hurt that way.


[UPDATE]- Neimenim Has been suspended for 1 game, so he'll miss game 5

um. id have to say probably. lol. lightning are a good possibility. but dunno where you grab flames out of the blue. even if they make it past detroit which lets face it. they have a decent shot. its a best of 3 series now. Then to go and make it past the sharks the way the sharks are playin? sorry, uh uh. Sharks / lightning final is a better possibility.

And did you guys see what Perezhogin did last night? That was nasty... But it was just retaliation. The other guy swung his stick at Perezhogin's head first, and looked like he knicked him a bit... Then bam... He hit him back, lol.

Nasty incident... Should be suspended for a long time... But I don't think it was as bad as everybody's been making it out to be.

not really worried. getting used to it by now really.

Wings dont play like they want it till thier backs are against the wall. i think they'll play hard next game but its just growing tiresome that they dont try as hard other times. They just expect to win cuz they have so many good players.

Personally i think this CBA thing will be good for em. get rid of some of the big big high paid guys, and some will retire. make room for the newer young guys to shine more. I'd like to see ppl like Datsyuk and Zetterburg lead this team. And from day one i havnt liked Lewis as a coach. he just doesnt seem right.

Was easy to see this game the wings were worried about Yzerman, shortly after he went down and looked pretty bad after getting hit in the face with the puck, the wings went down 1-0 after that. They had no life in em, you can tell yzerman was on thier minds. Hope he's ok

Don't get me wrong. i still believe wings will pull it through. But Wings right now just have too much tallent and not enough heart.
