Re: The official Super Smash Brosh: Brawl! thread
Alright, just finished a lot of multiplayer.
First impressions? it's definitely evolutionary, not revolutionary. But the game is a lot of fun, and the new characters/moves are very well put together. Each of the characters feel very different from each other, and it'll take you a few minutes to really get a good feel for each one; despite this it remains very easy to pick it up and play vs other fighter games. There are quite a few retro stages, and I'm sure there's more I can unlock. In contrast to SSBM, there are no language settings so it was a bit hard to get through menus. I tried out WiFi, which was very straightforward. We did have to try a few times before we got a connection to the Japanese servers (I imagine they're getting pounded), but once we were connected we had no issues. There was no discernible lag even with two parties in the US and our servers overseas. There's a little white stage with a punching bag to screw around with while your opponent selects their character and votes for which stage they want. We played free for all matches for the most part, my brother played with me on my Wii, my friend played with his roommate on his Wii, and fun was had by all. If you have a question, feel free to ask. I'm going to get some sleep, I've got work tomorrow morning. *Edit* And the Gamecube controller is definitely the all around favorite way to play the game. |

I've got a question for you in the spoiler thread.
And here's the daily update: ![]() |
Re: The official Super Smash Brosh: Brawl! thread
TML, so you can play online FFA with multiple players per Wii? Some were afraid that you could only do team battles.
Do you have different online profiles for players? What I mean is: can my friends tell whether it's me or my brother playing online? GM, I'm not reading Dojo since he said he was going to reveal hidden stuff. |

Samus, Ice Climbers, and Mario are among the few that got the real kick-ass 'takes-up-the-whole-screen' moves while folks like Kirby and Robot are left behind with stupid-ass moves. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ And I can't end this post without giving another shout-out to the developers for their creative efforts. NOT. • Lucas and Ness have the same final smash with a slight variation. • Fox, Falco, and Star Wolf have the exact same final smash • Zelda and Shiek have the same final smash (sure, they're essentially the same character, but you thought they could have changed it up a little, no?) • Ike and Marth. Yep, you guessed it. Unsurprisingly similar sword moves • Exactly 0% effort was put into giving Toon Link a unique final smash. Its exactly the same as 'Real' Link's move However, I will give a few props for some of the more cool Final Smashes of: Solid Snake, Captain Falcon, Ganondorf, and Game-and-Watch |
Re: The official Super Smash Brosh: Brawl! thread
Ike's final smash is amazing
Edit: What the hell is Luigi's final smash? |
Re: The official Super Smash Brosh: Brawl! thread
Im way behind: What exactly is a final smash, and how do you perform it? Can it only be performed once during a match or do you build up to it somehow or what?
