Fish Tank. About a troubled teenager in a poor English town.
I just finished watching it and I have no idea what to think of it.

The Men who Stare at Goat

Netflix claims it was a comedy, not the genre I would have classed it in. The movie was alright but did nothing for me.

Pulp Fiction, for the first time. I don't think I need to say anything about it :)

Watched John Carpenter's "The Thing" last night. Pretty fun movie. And Mafia finally makes sense now.

Bitch Slap

This movie makes no bones about who it intended audience is. I mean the movie has excessive boob shots and hot chicks making out, but it also has some insane action and way too much green screen.

I say a solid 9/10 movie

Dead Alive

Really fun Peter Jackson comedy/horror from 1992. Thanks to Netflix for recommending it. It was great.

I've been on a superhero kick.

Watched Superman/Shazam!, which was a collection of four animated shorts:

1. Superman/Shazam, centered around Captain Marvel's origin story
2. The Spectre (never heard of this guy, but I've not read much DC either...it was a good short though)
3. Green Arrow gets engaged short
4. Jonah Hex

Also watched Batman: Under the Red Hood, which was very good.

I started to watch Superman/Batman: Apocalypse...but then Krypto the super dog showed up wearing a cape and I just couldn't take it seriously any more.

Justice Leage: Crisis of Two Earths is next on my list...I think it's the last streamable thing on Netflix.

Any recommendations in this category? :)

Aw, you have to finish Superman/Batman: Apocalypse. It concludes with one of the very best animated fight scenes.

I saw Horton Hears a Who.
Was ok, 7/10 I guess. I was ill and had a hard time staying awake.

You should check out Wonder Woman. Good flick AND it has Nathan Fillion

The Social Network

Nice.

Punch-Drunk Love

Ugh. Two, maybe three brief good scenes, and decent acting....but the story...and the directing... Wouldn't have been a complete waste of time if I was for some reason trying to reach some daily quota of viewing lens flare. It was just trying so very hard to be artsy. If the movie was a puppy I would pat it on the head and tell it didn't need to catch that squirrel. That artsy artsy squirrel. Who I shall call Leonard. Leonard the artsy squirrel who shits quirky characters no one really wants to watch a movie about...and sits in the sun, obscuring whatever. LENS FLARE! Wha-pow!

Eh, maybe not as bad as I made it out to be, but I've heard nothing but good things about this movie for years and was pretty surprised this is what it turned out to be.
