Re: Last movies you saw
Got a couple in!
Kick-ass: Hilarious. Awesome violence. Hilarious story. I highly recommend. Lone Wolf and Cub: Based off the manga of the same name, it's a pretty long series of movies and this is the first one. It's old, it's cheesy, but still entertaining. |
Re: Last movies you saw
Hitchcock's Rear Window (again). 8/10, maybe 9/10.
|
Re: Last movies you saw
I love Rear Window! Just saw Rope for the first time. It was good....
The Odd Couple with Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau, such a good old comedy. Haven't seen it since I was a grom. The Man Who Wasn't There - Good Coen movie, a b&w darky. Summer Wars - Fucking cool |
Re: Last movies you saw
Return Of The Joker
I think this might be my favorite Batman thing ever. Even better than I remember it being. Moon Seriously messed up but very enjoyable. Glad I didn't know the premise going in. |
Re: Last movies you saw
last movie I saw Event Horizon....gives me the chills every time I see it....
|
Re: Last movies you saw
Clash of the Titans. 6.5/10. Quite entertaining if you just sit back and watch. Pretty girl, I was pretty sure I knew her, but apparently I'd never seen her before in a movie.
Perhaps she resembles a famous actress... anyone? |
Re: Last movies you saw
She was the woman in Quantum of Solace that got suffocated by being covered with oil and having it forced into her lungs.
I can't remember for the life of me what her name is though. |
Re: Last movies you saw
Her name's in the pic url: Gemma Arterton.
|
Re: Last movies you saw
Yeah I looked her up on IMDb. I've never seen any movies she's in.
Now that I see her again, she might look like someone I know in real life. WHAT AM I WAITING FOR!?! |
Re: Last movies you saw
Survive Style 5+
Quite possibly the greatest movie ever made. |
Re: Last movies you saw
"A Japanese quite unlike any other"
Because... instead of amazingly weird, this one's amazingly absurd? |
Re: Last movies you saw
I've been meaning to see Survive Style 5+ for a while now.
I watched Sharkskin Man and Peach Hip Girl about a month ago. It's a quirky, dark-comedy Japanese movie that has the late 90's exploit feel. I'm getting Ping Pong(2002) right now. Heard it's good. Finally watching Once Upon a Time in China(91) It feels a lot like Fearless. Harry Brown(2009) - Michael Caine, usual good. Not the most original, but plenty of vigilante films make that difficult. and SUMMER WARS. Seen it twice now cuz it's so damn good. I loved the family nuances. It kind of made sense to have a virtual world where office work gets done, school, etc. Cuts down on transportation costs yo |
Re: Last movies you saw
Iron Man 2. It was good. Not as good as the first, but it was entertaining and not as bad as some reviews would have you think. Basically, there are just a couple of scenes that don't really play off as well as they were probably hoping, but everything else is what you'd hope for.

Re: Last movies you saw
The Godfather part 1 and 2. The 3rd will follow soon.
1 was better than 2. Partly because in the second, I didn't follow everything that was going on. And now I understand how Robert De Niro (is that a Dutch name?) could play the father of Al Pacino. |
