An Equadorian ref in Italy Vs Korea is a STUPID decision. Especially considering the following points:- 1) Italy beat Equador 2-0 in their first game 2) It was his first official World Cup game of reffing! People might say "It doesn't matter coz refs can't be bias" etc, but the point is it's a STUPID decision. And there were disallowed goals in that game (again) which were goals! Don't even get me started on Italy Vs Croatia, or Italy Vs Mexico. That's why I think Korea don't deserve to be where they are at all. They are a good team, but the way they have made it through to the semi's is simply too This is the worst World Cup EVER! |
I too suspect a little conspiracy, that ball did bloody not cross the line and the linesman had his flag up very late IMO.
But at the end of the day it all went down to penalties and the game then was determined only by the players skill so in the end Korea won with their own player skill not by default. The question of weather the game should have gone into penalties is still to be decided. It probably should not have done. |

Well anyway, he's the best damn striker in the world. Shame he missed an easy chance that could have finished Korea off :D Nevertheless, this conspiracy theory is quite a rampant thought around here. Did anyone know that the wise president of Fifa (I think it's the wise) is a Korean... |

Well the MAIN reason why I support Italy is because I'm Italian ;) ANd Vieri is an excellent striker. I don't know wot Italy would do without him. Yeh he was born in Australia! |
Woah, I never knew you were Italian. You remind me of Vieri :D.
It's kind of funny, apparently, he was a brilliant cricketer, and could have played for the Australian cricket team. |

Aaaaaaaannnndddddd we're 3rd in the world!!! I love this game :D !!! |
I live in a Korean neighborhood and in every single store window you would see Korean flags. People would wear the flags as capes, wear those red shirts, stick flags on traffic lights, staple mini flags to their hats, cover their cars in flags, etc.
So I went to the main part of town after Korea lost and my friend would yell (very quietly) how Germany beat them and then hide for fear of being beat up. :D Friends of mine who never once mentioned soccer before are all of the sudden the biggest soccer fans ever... Crazy ball with the kicking and stuff... |
