Ever been to the Comedy Cellar, Earl? They seem to get big names dropping by unannounced. We got Godfrey that way once there, and he was hilarious. Good thing about that place was that it was a lot more raw then you'll get at some bigger places. I think we went Monday which was a pseudo-open-mic night or something (my cousin took me there), and so you get some big names that show up and try some of their new material out. We had several other comedians come by, I remember Lisa Lampanelli and I know the face of the other but can't remember his name. One of the comedians pissed off the crowd so much by picking on some Indian-looking guy who didn't know better than to sit right in the front row (warning: do not sit in the front row there if you don't want to be made part of the act, fortunately my cousin knew this so we sat in the back corner and were ignored), and half the crowd left because they got in a row with the comedian on stage in the middle of his act. The comedian was like, "This is how we do comedy in New York, get used to it." Awesome club, easily my favorite memory from my trip.

Because of the international character of this forum, I suggest we meet up in 1 of the 3 most international cities in the world (having the most nationalities).
That's either Amsterdam, Wageningen (my home town) or Antwerp (Belgium). :D It's so cool that we have even more nationalities than in New York City! |
Re: Im drunk, Earls here, and he wont post anything.
Or we could just have the meeting in the worlds 4th ranked city - Vancouver. :p

ive been saying. In the summer, BC has much to offer. Downtown core, immense wilderness, both ocean and lake beaches.

I say everyone put together a pitch for their city.
Including the fact that GT has a mixed population as far as country residency go. The folks that can afford to travel. And honestly something to do. While I hate to admit it, I guess Canada does make the most sense seeing how not everyone here is legal to drink in the States, but I believe we can all legally drink in Canada. And while drinking doesn't nneed to be a main activity, it is the great equalizer. I still would go with New York because, I mean we have it all. Places to see. Parks. Beaches. Tons of history. Landmarks. Culture. You can pretty much get any type of food you want. |

What about the center of the U.S. like Utah.
The X-Files did a whole episode about these religious people in Utah that were actually extraterrestrials. |
Re: Im drunk, Earls here, and he wont post anything.
If we did Chicago I'd like it to be around Sept. 9th.
But really it should be NYC. And all you Canadian folks can still easily get your bubble tea fix. |
