yes, what i hate is when some punk comes and messes with my superstition. Like one thing i have is a redwings hockey puck. it sits ontop of my tv, when the wings arent playin its face down. before every game i flip it face up...
a friend will come into my house and pick it up and looks at it. im like AH!!! WHAT IN GODS NAME DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING?!?!

I remember Bertuzzi doing that to the minnesota fans last playoffs. It does bite afterwards.

Great game last night! Both the Sens and the Leafs played very well. It was a nice and physical game, which I enjoy very much. And the only reason I didn't post last night because I was too drunk when i got home, lol. That is what going to the bar with my dad and brother and all his friends does to you, lol.

Anyways... The goal Vokoun let in was disgusting... Very very disgusting, lol.

Oh, and one of my bother's friends sits in the same position on his couch for every Leaf game... And if the oposition scores, he blames himself because he thinks that he might have moved, lol.

If you guys aren't watching the montreal/boston game then do so right now. The first period has just ended. So far it's been a back and forth, high paced game. Good entertainment. Montreal's up 2-1.

Edit: and how about those predators. I hate them...but damn.

what about em? lol. didnt watch the game did ya?

wasnt so much then. i thought They played better in games 1 and 2. Was a sloppy game for both sides. but Harder for the wings to get hyped up for a back to back game. Was there any other teams that had games back to back? cuz theres really no need for it. Games should be every other day and stick to it. Expecially back to back when switching cities. thats just stupid imo.

but stuff happens. what can ya do :)

Re: Here comes the NHL Playoffs!

Leafs lost in game 7 last year to Philly.. that was the tail end of a back to back I believe... Or did they lose in game 6...

The Germanator 04-11-2004 10:28 PM

Re: Here comes the NHL Playoffs!

It was game 7 because Philly had home ice advantage. Wasn't the score 6-0 or something? I know it was a blowout...

Null 04-11-2004 10:29 PM

Re: Here comes the NHL Playoffs!

oh i know its happened before. and its always a pain for each team that gets it.

i think theres a couple teams that have a back to back 6 and 7 if it goes. But was detroit the only one with a back to back 2 and 3 ?

Seth 04-11-2004 10:31 PM

Re: Here comes the NHL Playoffs!

Cloutier just got injured bad bad bad.

From the look of the injury I'm guessing he'll be out for the rest of the playoffs. He was playing so good to.

Hopefully Hedberg can step it up and do what he did for the penguin's playoff run.

This is nerve racking. Ack.

1st intermission. score 0-0

Wish the nucks luck....more luck then they've had lately.

Good game.

2-1 final.

Re: Here comes the NHL Playoffs!

Props to Iginla for fighting Ohlund after that cheap hit from behind.

And did anybody see the hit Verada (sp?) gave on Sundin? I think it was definitely not a knee, bucause his legs were together... But Leaf fans around me are crying that it was an intent to injure... Any opinions from you guys?

Null 04-12-2004 11:27 AM

Re: Here comes the NHL Playoffs!

IMO, it seems like a lot of the lower place teams are going really cheap this year. Maybe its the same as always an im just noticing it more i dunno.
Taking runs at goalies.... Trying to hurt players... Floping and diving all over to get calls.

I guess ya gotta do what ya gotta do. just seem to notice it more from differnt teams this year like calgary really running into the goalie as much as they can it seems.

I hope somebody checks Ribiero HARD into the boards. What he did was dispicable.

Typhoid 04-12-2004 01:54 PM

Re: Here comes the NHL Playoffs!

i wouldnt be surprised if everyone went after him next game (Ribiero)...why was he hurt anyways? I saw the replay like 5 times....nothing touched him, unless he has "Pus*y syndrome"...

Joeiss 04-12-2004 02:16 PM

Re: Here comes the NHL Playoffs!

He got hit right at the blueline....

Re: Here comes the NHL Playoffs!

Ohlund's hit on Iggy was no worse then when Jovo got hit into the boards. Good choice by Iggy to fight after...the game was over and it got the crowd into it a bit.

Hedburg's a playoff goalie. He wasn't tested incredibly much but I have confidence in him.

The hit on Sundin equalized the hit on Hossa.

And that Ribiero dude. Oh my goodness. Atleast if you're going to fake being *****whipped then don't start laughing it up at the other bench.

I'm really looking forward to the Ottawa-Toronto game tonight. There's going to be some fireworks.

Joeiss 04-12-2004 02:59 PM

Re: Here comes the NHL Playoffs!

There is always fireworks. :) Expect to see a Mats Sundin that you have never seen before tonight.

I think Sundin should fight Chara....Domi should fight Chara...Tucker should fight Chara....Ah, what the hell, Everyone should fight Chara....

Re: Here comes the NHL Playoffs!

Montreal's coach is saying that Ribiero didn't fake it. He's not practising today so meh. They say it's a pinched nerve.

Typhoid 04-12-2004 08:54 PM

Re: Here comes the NHL Playoffs!

Maybe he is faking it, and hes not practicing so they can make it look legit.

Are you serious? Interesting.
I don't follow your reasoning.

LEAFS WIN 2-0

Eddie Belfour is looking as close to perfect as perfect gets. Absolutely incredible...

GO LEAFS GO

Flyers fall 4-2...Didn't really expect them to go up 3-0, but still dissapointing.

Belfour was looking amazing.

And Sundin's goal pumped me up sooo much.

If Chara happens to be hungry at the time, any of the aformentioned players would literally get eaten.

Re: Here comes the NHL Playoffs!

ohhhhhh what a goal by dallas in OT.

i believe dallas made a 3rd period comeback from being down 3-1. to tie in. and win it early in OT on a slight breakaway.

Thats the type of goal that often turns a series around.

Very nice work Stars.

Seth 04-13-2004 07:23 PM

Re: Here comes the NHL Playoffs!

I still haven't seen the star's goal. Sounds nice.

and about the Ribiero dude

http://www.canoe.ca/Slam040413/nhl_bosmtl-cp.html

hmmm, we might have jumped the gun on him. Hard to tell. He still shouldn't have been taunting the bruin's bench. There's no need for that considering the circumstances.

Typhoid 04-13-2004 08:19 PM

Re: Here comes the NHL Playoffs!

i read that but im not convinced, i still think he was faking just to get a whistle so the bruins couldnt get a chance on the rush, and/or to rest up the Habs defencemen. He said he dosnt lie, he said he was hurt...You can say all you want it doesnt make it true....it might, hold on, let me try...." I want to be king of the world..."....hmmmm....thats funny, it didnt work....strange

No and Ribeiro

Canucks and Hedberg are going to win tonight....

....And i like the quote on the back of the paper(Sports section) today: " Where else can a number 1 goalie get injured, and spark up a debate that the team got an upgrade"

Have faith in the Moose......Moose-Mania starts again!!!

Seth 04-13-2004 09:57 PM

Re: Here comes the NHL Playoffs!

Well, Ribiero's doing the best thing that one can do in his position. I don't know...I want to believe him..but that was a pretty big performance out there.

He might've been in shock.."I didn't know if my neck was broken or what"

And how bout OT.....should be interesting.

My nucks game is starting right now though.

wth....stupid CBC. They've got all their region channels playing the montreal/boston game. Damn hell.
