Indeed. A little convincing would be nice. We can't have a crazy captain, this needs to be sorted out now.

All those voting for me, seriously, you're making a mistake. Just so you know. More convincing, hmm...Well, I've already told you the truth which is that I haven't gone mad, but nobody seems to believe it. Can't do much more than that.

Honestly, we all -would- have to be crazy to kill the captain of the ship. Who the hell is going to fly the damn thing to get us out of this?

Jeepnut might find my Dust, but if the ship's lost in interstellar space forever, I'll definitely not be selling it.

Well I probably could fly a ship.... I've, erm, serviced enough Nav systems.

Re: Space Madness Round 1 - Strange Transmission

Germy and his friends aren't doing a great job defending the captain. I don't think it shouldn't matter gamewise whether he's the captain or not. Saying he can't be crazy isn't an argument.
Besides, we know for sure that he has killed somebody. He still has the bloody club in his hand.

So based on what people have posted, I will change my vote.

What you just said doesn't make any sense to me, and actually sounds like crazy talk.

The fact that "his friends aren't doing a good job defending him" is actually a sign that he -isn't- crazy, assuming that all the crazy people know who else is crazy. The fact that there seems to be a movement towards voting him off implies that the crazy people are going for him.

I don't really have any idea about Uber Paddler, it's a shot in the dark at this point, but throwing your vote onto the person already with the most votes seems like a dumb idea, as that person is most likely the one the crazy people have targeted first.

Re: Space Madness Round 1 - Strange Transmission

I'm sensing some piling on here from the crazies. They see someone with a lead in the vote that they know is not them and are using their coordinated voting to make sure a sane person is voted out. And, they will be more brave about it this time since it won't be revealed that they voted for a sane person. This theory of course all assumes that the crazies know they are crazy and also know who each other are like in the last game.

While I don't like the way a number of people have leapt (although poorly) to Germy's defense this early in the game, I also don't like how so many have suddenly jumped on the bandwagon to vote him off. It strikes me as a coordinated effort.

All that said, I will go with the other bandwagon of voting off !uber-paddler. I don't want someone who genuinely has an interest in playing the game to be voted off in the first round simply because people have a hunch. That and inactive players really throw off the game.

Whether ship of metal or ship of wood, a ship is a ship and it needs a Captain. I stick with my Sir Uber Paddle vote, because no other better theory has arisen. I am willing to change my vote, though, if someone else comes up with something better, because I know my theories about Others in the last game were all for naught. Yes, I was really named George Washington in the last game, I was just not ready to reveal it.

Well, just so you know, don't wait too long. You only have about a hour and a half to get your vote in.

EDIT: Oops, nevermind. I guess you have over a day to get your vote in. I assumed the round was ending today and it looks like it's ending tomorrow instead.
