The Company of Wolves
Most boring movie about werewolves I've seen. |
Re: Last movies you saw
O' Horten. 7/10.
Norwegian art movie about a man who retires from his job as a railroad engineer. Funny, but could/should have been better. Oh, the icy weather was nice. |
Re: Last movies you saw
Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li
Not a good movie. That's a given. But it also wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, which is a shame. Chris Klein's horrible overacting made it worth the watch though. My goodness he was bad. Some other unintentional funny bits as well. |
Re: Last movies you saw
Finally watched Gran Torino last night. I loved it even though it has a big emphasis on Clint being "racially biased" but with the background he has in the film, it makes sense and didn't bother me.

Rescue Dawn. 7/10.
I don't usually like war movies, but this was pretty good. It helped that it was based on a real story. |
Re: Last movies you saw
Joe Versus the Volcano
Good existential film. And you get a very pretty Meg Ryan in three different roles as a blond, brunette, and red head. I want some orange soda now. |
Re: Last movies you saw
Love Actually. 7/10.
A decent romantic comedy. Too many characters to go deeper... |
Re: Last movies you saw
Michael Clayton
As good as a Hollywood powerhouse film will ever be. I thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend it. It was paced slow though, so you need to be in the right mood for it. |

Re: Last movies you saw
Miller's Crossing (1990) wow. Can't believe I waited so long to watch this. One of thee best gangster pics I've seen.
So far Coens: The Big Lebowski Miller's Crossing O Brother Where Art Thou No Country For Old Men Fargo Blood Simple Burn After Reading Raising Arizona Barton Fink Intolerable Cruelty The Ladykillers Still need to see The Hudsucker Proxy, Crimewave, and The Man Who Wasn't There. I have a feeling they'll be worth watching as well. I've seen lately, The Producers (Mel Brooks) Simply hilarious. I think I might have liked Young Frankenstein more just because it's Mel Brooks' Frankenstein! The Producers opening scenes are squirmworthy brilliance. dummy (2003) Adrien Brody and Milla Jovovich in an ok funny film. Kinda girl movie. Blood Simple (1984) It was ok for a Coens' film. I think the subject matter just unsettled me to the point of wondering why they couldn't have written a different movie. It's good though. |

Planet Terror

Re: Last movies you saw
Gran Tornio
Very good movie but depressing as hell. |
Re: Last movies you saw
The Nines
That was a great mindfuck. And I don't think I'll ever look at koalas the same way again. |
Re: Last movies you saw
S Darko - This just hit cinemas here in the UK, which is bollocks since it came out in the U.S in may or something. Not that I went to the cinema to see it anyway
On the whole I actually thought the film was ok. It would probably not make much sense if you had not seen the first one (Donnie Darko) and I imagine some people would find it hard to follow anyway. I think people slated the film because it is different to it's predecessor but the point is, that this is a unique story in itself, derived from the essence of the first film, I mean, what did people want? A remake? I did think the first film was better though. |
