It may be, just depends on how sucsessful this system is. Which is why I hope it fails.. since I don't want the industry to go in that direction.

Hopefully Sony doesn't adapt to too much of the same.

They will. :)

True there's not a lot of reason to have one now (unless you did play some of the big games from the last year, ME3, AC3, Batman, Darksiders, etc) but pretty soon Nintendo is going to hit their stride with first party stuff.

Same with the 3DS. Started off very weak, but it's my favorite system right now. I play it every day.

I have faith that the Wii U will do great. Maybe the coming year won't have much 3rd party support, but so far the first party line-up is looking great. By then, third parties will notice the machine as well.

I'm not worried and I'm really looking forward to the presentation tomorrow.

Well it helps when your competition is giving you a hand

Microsoft announced that the Xbox One will launch in November for 500 bucks.
Which worked so well for the Ps3!

Ps3 passed up 360 worldwide (again), and chances are it will end up ahead by a large margin lol. And it only sold about 80 million less than Ps2. Not too bad!!! lol

Sony has seriously been handed a golden oppertunity to take over again. Sony (seems) to have learned from their Ps3 mistakes.. but Microsoft looked at things completly different it seems.

I wonder how much of that price is contributed by the Kinect.

If PS4 comes in at $399...that would be a huge deal. I've heard some speculation it could do $350, but that sounds really wishful.

I dont know about all of them. Is a Kinect still required to be able to use the xbox?

It probably will be - they want to be able to guarantee to developers that every user will have one.

That's awesome. Now they just have to allow you to use the system with the kinnect unplugged/disabled and I'll wish them all the luck in the world.
