Here's a fun story...

Right in the middle of the movie, when:...

Joker was chatting in his Jail Cell

The projector cut off and the lights came on...
5 minutes later, the project came back on, but WITH NO SOUND...

We see Joker escape, Rachael (apparently) die, and Dent become Two Face

WITH NO SOUND!!!
I mean, luckily it didn't happen at an important part of the flick...

And we got a free movie pass out of it..

Wow, if I see this again, I think I might accidentally memorize the script.

I think its safe to say I'm the official Dark Knight expert. Well, unless someone wants to challenge me by seeing it four times...

We definitely haven't seen the last of Scarecrow, I was so happy when I realized it was him. Expect him to be the main antagonist of the third film.

I think I will take you up on that challenge.

Also someone transcribed the closing monologue

Quote:

Why is he running dad?

Because we have to chase him.

He didn't do anything wrong.

Because he is the hero Gotham deserves but not the one it needs right now.
So we'll hunt him.
Because he can take it.
Because he is not a hero.
He is a silent guardian, a watchful protector, a Dark Knight.

I think my favorite part might have been...

Joker: Do you wanna see a magic trick? I'll make this pencil disappear.
Also loved the scene where Joker is walking out of the hospital in the nurses costume...amazing.

Totally agree Germy. Loved those parts.

Tough, tough film. Makes one feel so impotent.

How does Batman relate to your libido?

Anyhow my favorite part.

Started with the bat logo coming out of the blue flames
Ended with he is The Dark Knight.
Everything in between was just icing.

Better than Begins...I'll give it that.

I still can't stand Bale's Batman, but the Joker more than made up for it.

Hardy har har. To be clear, I was referring to one of these definitions --

im·po·tent
1. not potent; lacking power or ability.
2. utterly unable (to do something).
3. without force or effectiveness.

Btw, seeing it on imax? No contest. It's so much better.

Very cool movie. Right after the movie, I just thought it was okay... but then thinking more of it, I was totally lost in the screenplay for the full 2.5 hours, thinking of nothing else... Very nicely done.

I totally jumped when the fake batman was hung and hit the window.. Definitely was not expecting that.

And I know it is sort of stupid.. but I like the choices that the Joker was making people make. Some movies try to play on villains making people make tough decisions.. but this movie really did a decent job at providing a real human element to it.

Saw it a second time, it was fantastic.

The Dark Knight is not a sequel to Batman Begins.

This was Joker's movie. Joker WAS the star.

Batman was a minor side character.

That isn't true at all.
This is a true sequel to Begins even down to the tone.

I mean most of this movie in one way or another deals with gotham's fallout over Batman's presence.

As the Joker put it, You've changed things forever. There's no going back.

And batman had more screentime than in Begins.
