Question: Who opened the door on the boat to let them escape?

Swan and I think its Michael.

There is no saying that everyone needs a constant. As they said in the show only certain people are affected by it. Hmmm......I just contradicted myself there....He was exposed to radiation.

But there is no guarantee that will happen to him as well. It is just a little insurance.

Say Faraday did have that happen to him, there is no guarantee that he would go to the point where he knew Desmond. Say he went to before then. Was it not said that it must be someone from both the present and the past?

Great episode

Strangler, I believe we already knew it was 2004.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong though.

Oh, ok. I must have missed that.

We know it's 04 - when Jack was brought to the Hydra, and Ben showed him the Red Sox game, he mentions the date as well, if I'm not mistaken. If not, the plane took off in September 04, so it couldn't be much further than that.

The same thing crossed my mind as well, but I tried not to think too hard about it, because my hands were already full with all the things I had to follow in this episode. But think about it like this - Des came and went between 2 different time zones - current (island) and past (Scotland). If the things we thought to be flashbacks were time travels, then what would the flash forwards be? Can they travel both forward and back in time, if we take the island as "current" time?

So many new questions, so confusing.. Although this episode cleared a lot of things up - at least we can speculate better about the main storyline now.

Probably the best episode of Lost - which makes it the best episode ever of anything :)

I'm kinda not digging the introduction of time travel from last night's episode...

I am.
It's not "Time Travel", and it explains Desmond's ability to know what's going to happen, and why Penny was calling the boat. It may be weak, but that's one thing they clearly tied together, so I'm not mad about it.

Not to mention the whole Black Rock thig at the auction. Oh boy!

Jin... dies? :(

Who the fuck cares that Michael is working as a spy for Ben aboard the boat. I mean, aside from the fact that it makes no fucking sense. But I'm sure during their strike, the writers cooked up a nice pile of shit to explain that. What, as Michael and Walt were leaving the island, did Ben send them a text message with a job offer that Michael just couldn't turn down?

JIN DIES! :baby:

That was the saddest episode of television EVER.

GM - I wish you'd marked spoiler for that, or at least hadn't written the humongous spoiler as the first sentence of your post. Some of us still haven't had the latest episode..ahem.."broadcast" yet. :)

I know this topic is full of spoilers, but you can never be sure if a post is about the latest episode or a discussion on the previous ones.

GM doesn't care about spoilers anymore. This is like the 3rd big one in 3 weeks.

Sorry fellas.

But for what its worth, everything I said was actually only speculative. I did some reading up on the episode after I watched it. And it turns out everything I said was only part of an elicit dream.
