no, it was a question, the way you put it, because we're talking about MS and he started mentioning sony, you said that sony hasnt unvealed anything either. You made it sound like this wanst a real unvealing for MS. so i was asking. im sure its easy to tell that I, of most people could care less about grammar. :p |
Re: Xbox Revealed
Sorry I would have posted earlier, but I was to busy burning everything Microsoft and had too many tears in my eyes to see the computer screen. PD0 looks like crap, what a huge let down I was soooo looking forward to that game. I am going to go take a cold shower now. :(

Re: Xbox Revealed
It's not the end of the world. At least we have wired controllers! :D Well... 3 of them
I'll tell you what though, If I owned Windows Media Center Edition, I'd be all over this thing. But I don't, nor will I ever :D EDIT: Actually, found a reason to buy this thing, or at least a controller. The controllers, connecting with USB 2.0, will work with PC games too. Just as long as we don't have to reach those black and white buttons, we'll be good ;) |
Re: Xbox Revealed
Ok... After my cold shower I have calmed down a little. I was thinking that maybe not all hope is lost for PDZ, so I was looking around on 1up's exclusive article of the game, and I actualy decided to read the article rather than just look at the screens.

Re: Xbox Revealed
We're all laughing at Microsoft, but we have to remember that 90% of the gaming market doesn't pay attention to E3 or message boards, and a lot of casual gamers own XBox, and they probably are still salivating from that MTV program. It turned us away from it, sure, but for the average Joe, it was probably worth it.

Re: Xbox Revealed
It's sad that the marketing departments for these companines don't try to appeal to the hardcore gamers like us. Even though we probably only repesented a small fraction of their aduience last night we are probably responsible for a big chunk of their business. The casual gamer is going to continue to buy a few games a year like the EA games with big names on the cover, while the hardcore gamers are the ones buying several games a year, subscribing to online services, making sure they have componet cables, dvd remotes, and steering wheels. Hardcore gamers are the ones paying attention to the crap that happened last night, the casual gamer probably didn't even know it was going to happen until he flipped the channel to MTV. I would be suprised if the people in the marketing departments actually bought and played through one or two games a year.
I will just try and forget what happened on MTV and pay attention to E3 where they know the only audience there are hardcore gamers. |

E3 effects a lot more of the market then that statistic would suggest. 90% may not pay attention to E3, however they read the magazines, and websites, the news and info from E3 gets around to most of thoes gamers, even if they dont directly pay attention to E3, they still learn about it. |
Re: Xbox Revealed
If Rare is using alpha development kits, that means just a few months before the console plans to launch, they still don't have final development kits out. Doesn't look good for Microsoft. And I'm sorry, but ATI makes some nice "run-of-the-mill" graphics cards.
Doom 3 was only shown at medium settings when it was revealed, but it sure looked 100x better than PD0, and that was a few years ago, with worse than a "run-of-the-mill" graphics card. |
