what's scary is that you can put A-Rod with any other 2 hitters on the Yankees and it would be impressive

He's hitting like .330 right now with a league-leading 19 HR and 49 RBIs

on this pace, he'll finish the season something like .330, 62 HR and 160-165 RBI

Yeah, A-Rod is finally giving the Yankees what they expected. I still hope they choke in the playoffs though, after all, they are the Yankees. It was so much better earlier this year when they were eight games under .500 :(

Scott Rolen who's hurt.

I'll take the Texas Rangers 3-4-5 of Mark Teixeiria, Hamerin' Hank Blalock and Alfonso Soriano. Collectively they're batting a tick off of .280 with 34HRs and 90 RBIs It's made even better when you realize that their 1 and 2 are Dave Dellucci and Michael Young.

If Texas could get ANY pitching they'd be a major force in the AL. As it is they probably won't make the playoffs.

so far, the Jays have been handling the Cubbies quite nicely...and today, they get to face Roy 'Doc' Halladay, who seems to be on his way to his 2nd Cy Young in 3 seasons :D

Generally when the Cubs go on a win streak, they'll come back home and play a team they should beat, and then lose the series, but they usually will lose the two games they have the best chance to win, and then win the game they should lose.


Unfortunatlly, we've got the Meat Tray going out there today vs doc, so we're going to get killed.

Phillies just traded Polanco for Urbina. With the way Chase Utley has been playing, I'll definitely take this trade. We had a good player to spare.
