I'm at 185 now. I'm losing lots of fat and keeping all my muscle. I definitely don't have the arms I used to, though.

The problem with being heavy and muscular is that pushups are harder to do. Once I weighed less than 200, I was doing pushups extremely easily. At 255 it was hard even with my pipes the size they were.

You lost 70 pounds? That's really impressive, Dyne. How'd you do it?

Diet and exercise!

I did Karate 3 times a week, and played Dance Dance Revolution a lot on Heavy mode. As well, I stopped eating huge bowls of cereal, I only ate a powerbar for lunch, and had smaller portions at dinner.

Natural's the only way to go. I can't believe some people use pills for weight loss.

losing/gaining weight is easier than most people will tell you...

if you excersise consistently and eat somewhat decent food, your body changes pretty damn quickly.

For example, one fall I decided I was going to venture into competitive football. My plan? Get stronger, and improve my stamina. So I worked out with weights and a stationary bike 4 times a week. I didnt even change my diet (which has always been ok). Anyways, in the first 3 weeks I lost 21lbs, then I gained 9 over the next 2. That's 30lbs of change in relatively one month.

Dyne is right, it's not about pills or magical diets. It's simple: burn more calories than you take in to lose weight, burn less calories than you take in to gain weight.

if only things were so easy girls wouldnt need to b killing themselves bcuz they only eat a tiny bowl of salad a day cuz 'accordingly' theyre fat..
i think boys lose and gain weight faster and easier as compared to girls...im not saying im not happy with myself..cuz i go to the gym bout 6-7 times a week for 1-2 hours and i eat mostly greens n fruits(huge portions cuz i like to snack and i got a huge apetite*blush*)but the weight still doesnt go up or down much...the most is 1-2 kilograms in 3-4 weeks....i think im healthy; weight's another issue all together...fairly chubby...meaty..not flabby ;)

anorexia has relatively nothing to do with one's ability to gain or lose weight...

and happygirl, meaty girls are the best. when I look at skinny chicks, I see them as sickly. when I see 'meaty' girls, I see healthy.

And I'm healthier than probably 80% of the people I know, and I'm considered very overweight.

Losing more than 1-2 pounds a week is bad if you want to keep muscle... but it's great if you're just trying to "slim up."

If you're referring to my 5 week example, I was about 30-40% stronger after those 5 weeks.
