There are a total of 1141 jellybeans in the jar.

Rndm_Perfection was remarkably close with a guess of 1150, as was Dylflon with a guess of 1128. Even though Rndm was closer by 4 beans, I'm allowing for a margin of error in my counting abilities. Rndm_Perfection and Dylflon are awarded duel immunity.

Rndm_Perfection WINS IMMUNITY!
Dylflon WINS IMMUNITY!

Voting will take place in the new Tribal Council forum.

Good job guys, it's no surprise that both winners were former STARS members ;)

Care to share the secret to your remarkably close estimates? Psychic abilities? Math geniuses? :)

I tried using math to solve it.

I approximated the volume of a jelly bean, and the volume of the jar, the divided. I must of had an error in my calculations because I missed it big time.

Did you account for the volume which exists between the beans?

No. :(

But I guessed 465. That was extremely low. If I had accounted for the space inbetween, than my guess would have been even lower.

Lol, I counted the ammount of beans in 1 layer. Then I counted the layers and multiplied it with 4/5. I was kinda way off with 1507. :(

Re: Challenge#7 Info (A.G.R.S. too)

The radius was approximately 6 jellybeans, the height was approximately 10.5 jelly beans. This does not include the section where the bottle gets thinner.

I performed the math to find the volume of a cylinder (using 3.14 on my computer as pi) and got:

1186.92

I don't like awkward numbers, and I knew there was still some gap, even though I left out the top part of the bottle, so I rounded down to 1150.

You used large jellybeans then, heh.
