It's weird nothing against the Cube or anythng, I still enjoy it a ton, but I went home for ThanksGiving last week and played it like once, then I left it home for the next 3 weeks to prepare for finals and stuff, and I realy don't seem to miss it much yet. As for my hall mates... guess next time I'll ask their permission to leave it back

I'm currently playing Viewtiful Joe, I'm at the last boss, haven't beat him yet. (adult mode of course) and I can't wait to start a new game after on the harder mode.

I also pop in Metroid once in while, I'm also almost at the end on hard.

FZero GX, how can you get bored of that.

Rogue Squadron 3, the Coop mode is just too sweet.

And some NHL2K3 here and there.

I think that's one of the best parts of TWW... It's like they're actually beginning to tie the games together in some ways, with the references to Ocarina of Time (which I thought were great) and the setting up for a potentially amazingly groovy sequel (still with lotsa water to explore, but also with much more land because they're searching for the 'new hyrule')...

I agree with you though, although I thought the water was fun and different for the first play through, afterwards I just felt like it should be left to a one-time thing... Or maybe done again in..... 20 years :sneaky:

But I really feel that these consoles (or at least the upcoming ones) have the power to both a vast ocean and a big continent (plus smaller islands) in one game... WW just didn't for storyline purposes (unless they wanted to add another 20 hours onto the game)...

It would be great if the map would stay the same (both the size and the land-moutains) but that the water filling hyrule, would be removed. That would be one big world to explore.

Yeah hehe that would be awesome! :D Just gimme my horse and you won't hear me for the next 3 weeks.

I was really disapointed by the dungeons. They were boring and too few.
Also the items were terrible. The rope thing is a fiasco.
And BTW why did Link have to leave his granny and sis behind?? Did Nintendo try to put some emotion into the game at the last moment?

Oh yeah, what DeatsHand says is right, it would be cool if the boat thing would just be a small part of the game. Only 1/5 or something. :D

2nd edit: Oh yeah, I finally completed the 3 tests for the picto-dude. And now he wants me to find some creature that produces light, found in the Forest Haven! :mad2: WHAT IS IT I ASKS THEM!!!! WE DOESN'T FIND IT!!! I want that color camera... :baby: Worst Zelda game EVER.

Right. The Wind Waker sequel is supposed to use the same graphical engine, but it's supposed to also be a lot more land based than Wind Waker (although it's supposed to have some sea based stuff). Which for me is appreciated; I mean, I enjoyed the water as much as the next guy, but for a new Zelda I definately think a different approach will be necessary.

Think about how hype it would have been if they had made a zelda game out of the Spaceworld 2k or whatever year it was tech demo? Think about how many older people prolly would have gone out and baught the cube and enjoyed it. The next one should definatley somewhat resemble that tech demo in some way and should be a little but more mature :)...

NOt that i didnt love TWW

The mainstream/casual gamer would drool and buy a 'Cube if a Zelda game on the 'Cube looked like the tech demo. And since WW looked like a kids game, it was widely overlooked because of its style and its gameplay wasn't brought into the buying equation.

That wasn't a major rant, but it is the truth if you think about it.

Re: At the moment I'm enjoying my Cube more than ever

I think it's a pretty sure deal that there will be a mature Zelda. The real question is how long will we have to wait for it. This next Zelda is definately Cel-Shaded, so it's not that one. And if Nintendo decides to make a third Zelda on the Cube, it'll likely also be based on the Cel-Shaded engine (simply because of time; the WW engine is more complete than the engine used in the SW2k video).

So in all reality, if we see a mature Zelda, it's more likely that it will be on the next console than on Gamecube. Nintendo will reevaluate their position in the console market before that next console releases, so it will really depend on what market they're hoping to hit.

A huge add campaign about "You've been waiting for it, and now Nintendo delivers: A mature and realistic Zelda game" would be quite effective if they decide that is where they want to base their marketing.

However, the issue I see with Nintendo is that they aren't as sales driven as most of their competitors. If they don't think they can provide the gameplay experience that they're aiming for because of a particular aspect of development, they're going to change it whether or not it affects sales.

Nintendo and marketing = disaster.

They depend too much on their loyal fans. How was I supposed to know that F-Zero, 1080 and others were released??
There were times that they wouldn't release a game until it was perfect. Now they release 80% games just to get some sales... at least that's how it seams.

Well, my Cube right now is in my closet collecting dust with it's older brother. I don't see anything good coming out for it in the near future either.... until my precious MGS:TS comes out my cube is useless. (and I'm not going to buy a non-exclusive game for it cause my Ps2 and Xbox can take care of it and 9 times out of 10 get a better version of the game)

Well, don't all companies do that now? Because gaming has become so mainstream/casual, any casual gamer will buy a game regardless of whether it sucks or not.

So Ninty isn't able to take time to perfect a game otherwise they would lose more money then they already are.
