Dear CrOnO_LiNk, thanks for the cool signature. I like it a lot and I look at it all the time. It is very nice of you to give presents for free. Your friend, GameMaster

Thank you very much... :yippie:

(I like it the way it is, but, I will probably spew out more ideas)

Thanks for making the sig for me, crono-link. But I have to go with Dyne's. Keep up the good work.

No problem guys, and sorry for not making a sig for you Game, Random beat me to it. Besides that, Random is really talented with stuff like this.

Crono_Link, you're work isn't bad. But there's one thing that bugs me.. you're not cleaning off the images that you paste and shows white noise on the edges of things.. now what you can do it either put an eraser to it, or blur it to get rid of it. One good example of it, is this sig.. the boat's outline is covered in it, and you can see it on the tip of Link's cap.

And around Sephy.

The edges of the alien are very unsmooth, probably a blur would work here as well:

Now your sig itself can use some touching up. There's tons of evidence of white noise around the pastes, and your text isn't lined up very well.. it's cut off at the edge of the image... if you're having problems with the automatic placement thing, just zoom in, because then it renders it useless.

Here's a touch up idea, but since I don't have the original, it probably looks bad. What the problem with sigs is, most of the time you want to cram it up with a lot of stuff you like, and sometimes it isn't very clean. What you want to do is, either have one or two main subjects, or have everything in the same colour scheme or theme. Also, a border wouldn't hurt.

Overall your work is not bad but you can do better. I know it. :)

Oh, and Stu.. you're getting there. Keep it up. :)

I think your going a little overboard on rating Chrono's sigs Most of those white's you don't even notice. Not every gfx design is perfect. I make pretty good stuff meself (like the anime junkies sig, boredom, heh) but it may not be perfect. I think Crono's work is very good and i give him congradulations on a very good job.

I started making banners with paint. When you do it with paint, you have to go in and delete every freakin' pixel. If the characters aren't cartoony and have black borders, then they don't turn out too well. After making it in paint, I would select all and paste it into a weak photo editing program that came with my computer to change it into a jpg.

The last banner I've done on paint was for an online RPG:

After that, I joined a Web Page Design class which introduced me to Fireworks, which - obviously - is superior to paint. It has options similar to Photoshop... but I particularly dislike Photoshop.

Glad you liked the sig, Game.

It's just constructive criticism. If CrOnO were to go "pro" with his graphic design, "clients" wouldn't like any white dots. With the right tools and technique, however, white dots can be easily overcome. Pointing out little flaws can help one's overall technique. Dyne's words should be seen as a little bit of help for CrOnO's future graphic design.

Still though, good choice of colors have been made by CrOnO.

Thanks Rage, appreciate it.

Well, yeah... It does help me to do better and not leave any pixels open, but, some of those white dots were not left or pasted pixels... They were Outer and Inner glows I used to highlight the pasted object. But if it helps, I'll get rid of every unwanted white pixel on a sig next time..........

By the way Random, that reminds me, is there anyway you can teach me the basics of Fireworks? Online tutorials almost never help me, if you can help me through AIM or MSN I'd really appreciate it. (Been trying to learn it for years).. So if you can, let me know. Thanks.

 I don't get very far at teaching. However, I can help you troubleshoot when you need it. Check for me on MSN: Cowsai@hotmail.com

Because it is you that asked... I'll make up my mind and say that it is simply due to the fact that it is a Mac-related program.

:wtf:

Ok... I use Photoshop for both Mac and PC and it's not really a Mac-related program. Using it for both Windows and Mac works perfectly fine, you just need to get used to it, trust me.

Also, anyone else want me to make a sig for them?

Re: Does anyone want a free sig?

Hmm.. mmh...

I noticed a flaw in my last sig, the arms of Steph/HHH are cut off... so I went on a hunt for replacement pics.

Even though that is a great pic of steph (almost too good), I'd rather have the full arm there.

(use the left pic)

or, another idea I had was putting a smaller pic by HHH's and Steph's arms, I say try them both out... Take that (the new) steph pic and cover up HHH's missing link of his arm.

As for HHH's new pic, or his pic to over Steph's arm (whichever looks better).

Experiment all you want, and don't hesitate to put your own little style on it... Do whatever you feel looks good. I like the old sig as it is, the problem is extremely minor.

Thanks for the sig I have now, and thank you if you are going to take the time t make another :)

Rndm_Perfection 07-22-2003 10:51 AM

I updated the sig with the new pictures and added a border to help the focus of the color theme a little. If you're not one for the border, I've got a version without it as well.

Err, also deleted the old greeen one, so it'll probably make a big ugly dent as a broken link earlier in the thread, heh. Better than the "HHHulk" though.
