Re: Tea
Those are all easy to do, they just need sun and water and maybe some fertilizer and a stock for the tomato vines to climb. And probably some slug bait, they love tomato and lettuce leaves.

Re: Tea
I'm on a balcony, so good luck slugs getting up here! Also: no cat pee.

My parents and/or I have had a Vegetable/herb garden for 20 years (This year I'm growing Rhubarb, Strawberries, Peas, Carrots, Chives, Radishes, Carrots, Cucumber, Lettuce, Beets, Tomatoes.) - and in order to be the most successful off the bat just do some online research. Get familiar with when each thing should be planted, because that can entirely alter the food. Everything has a different planting/harvesting date, and you should familiarize yourself with it, if you're not able to just tell by eye. Typically as long as your soil isn't crap, you get a lot of sunlight, and they get a lot of water you'll be great. Being that you're on a balcony though, just stick whatever-the-hell in planters, and make sure it gets ample sun, and water it a couple times a day. |
Re: Tea
Since you're on a balcony, stick to herbs and tomatoes. Get hanging planters for the tomatoes. Cilantro and parsley grow like weeds.
If you want to grow peas, probably should plant them right away. |
