1. It's more expensive, and sometimes you just don't need a dropship when all you want is a medic. 2. It's harder to keep the medevac close to your marines. The auto-heal doesn't seem quite as intelligent as it is for medics, and since the medevac hovers over marines, it's harder for you to micromanage marines. 3. It's much easier for the enemy to kill compared to the medic because it doesn't stay as far behind the line and it's big. |
Re: Starcraft 2
Well I bought it, it's installing now - excited to get in and start playing. :)

In one game, my teammate left quite early on. I won against the other 2 :) Another victory came with my teammate wiped out. Though I was owned quite badly in 2 games :D |
Re: Starcraft 2
This game has turned out to be way more fun than I thought it was going to be. Every mission is new and different.
I kind of wish Mass Effect 3 would set up the Normandy like the Hyperion - I'm tired of actually having to walk places. |

Also not playing it. Don't care much for sc either

Re: Starcraft 2
I'm not playing it yet. I'm not home now, I want to fnish SC:BW first and I'm hoping to find a better deal. I'm excited though...

Re: Starcraft 2
Just want to take a general census as to what everyone's preferred race is.
I can play any of them, but I think I'm partial to Terrans |
Re: Starcraft 2
I don't have SC2, but I have this:
|
Re: Starcraft 2
I've always been partial to Terrans just because they are the easiest for an RTS novice like me to pick up. But if I played more, I would probably be a Protoss player because I like to micro-manage and preserve my units as much as possible. I most definitely cannot handle the Zerg. I understand their mechanics, but I could never get the hang of directing so many massive swarms of units around.

Re: Starcraft 2
I received the game today, but now I need to fix an internet connection to register it...

Re: Starcraft 2
Got it. :) What are your IDs? I'll PM you mine (it's my main e-mail address, don't want to post that here).

Re: Starcraft 2
Well, I just finished my 100th online game. Which is saying something, considering I almost didn't even buy the game. I could never have imagined I'd get this into it. I've been playing Protoss, and I don't think I could play anything else. Zerg, as you mentioned Xantar, are just too unwieldy and I feel like Terrans are just too slow. I don't want to have my worker hang around while stuff is building, I just wanna warp it in. Building? Warped in. Units? Warped in. I haven't even been playing single player because after playing Protoss so much I can't handle Terran. If there's one thing about multiplayer that really bothers me, it's how easily people will drop their pride in favor of the cheesiest of wins. Of course, even 100 games later, I'm still not very good. Stuck in Bronze league.

Re: Starcraft 2
This should work:
Name: Canyarion Character code: 738 So add me if you want. (Although I don't think you can play cross-regional.) uber, I used to be like that with Warcraft 3. I totally loved the multiplayer, especially 3v3. When I did FFA, I lurked and made a massive Chimaera army. Good times. I just did some games in the practice league, boooring! The game is so slow there. But so far I'm still learning, so I better stay in it for a while. |
Re: Starcraft 2
Yeah, I wasn't a fan of the practice league either, but still played about 20 games there just to get the hang of the systems. The giant pile of rubble at the bottom of your ramp is especially frustrating.
