This is the best part of Calgary (leaving)

Best robot ever, by the way. ![]() It's an Octomoose. Not to be confused with a Moose-opus. ![]() |
Re: Pictures You've Taken
Nice pictures Typhoid. I like your drawings haha.
Earlier this week I took even more pictures, but this time of my campus. I have some pictures of the Cathedral of Learning, which is the tallest educational building in the Western Hemisphere, and it is the third tallest in the World. There is an indoor picture of it in post #8, but there will also be one posted now too. ![]() ![]() This is the new LEED Certified addition on the engineering building. ![]() This is the Cathedral of Learning ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() One of the main intersections on campus, just to give you an idea of the area. It's quite urban. |
Re: Pictures You've Taken

Was looking at some of the interior pics of the Cathedral of Learning. Like something out of a Harry Potter movie. Would loved to have studied there.

Ok, the nature in America is gorgeous. Yes, also including South America. (A friend is in Brazil and she took pictures of great areas.)

Re: Pictures You've Taken
I got up at 6am Sunday morning to head downtown and walk the Seawall, so I decided to take some pictures aswell.
For some reason I love this picture. ![]() ![]() ![]() You have no idea how bright that reflection was. I honestly thought it was the Sun. ![]() ![]() ![]() If you look REALLY close, directly above my dad's head, there are 2 white ships, and faintly between them - barely, you can see Vancouver Island. ![]() Siwash Rock. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() There were 8 separate Asian tourists taking pictures of these ships waiting to get in the harbour, so I thought I'd join in. ![]() ![]() Adorable. ![]() The fountain from the 1936 Chicago World's fair. Neat. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I don't know what these are, but I like 'em. ![]() |
Re: Pictures You've Taken
That looks like an awesome place to walk or ride a bike. I've been to Vancouver before, and I remember really liking that city. It's definitely my favorite city in Canada.
Also, being the Civil Engineer that I am, I have always enjoyed buildings and bridges and other massive man made objects, so obviously I enjoy city skylines. Vancouver has a very very dense skyline, so it's really unique in that sense. I know that a lot of you guys are from around the area, so this might interest you. http://skyscraperpage.com/store/posters/vancouver/ Those are diagrams that have been drawn by individuals, and they are very realistic looking. You can look at a diagram for pretty much any major building that's out there, so it's a pretty neat site. |
