Well I not that hyped about it.....not a big star wars fan I am.

No no no....I just want to see how "Yoda owns your weak ass" as some critics said he did. :D
That's the only part I want to see really...cause I just can't imagine him fighting. lol

gekko 05-16-2002 09:48 PM

He's Master Yoda for a reason. Anakin thinks he's a better swordsman than Yoda, ROFL!

He was doing good with 2 sabers though, until he screwed it up and let one get hit.

GameMaster 05-17-2002 12:01 AM

Ok, you can all stop giving away the cool parts now

At least wait until Monday... :)

I just saw it like an hour ago. And I must say that it made up for The Phantom Menace. The action and battle scenes were awesome. of course Yoda was my favorite part... I thought Yoda couldn't do nething cuz he was too old.. until now.

The acting was ok. The colosium part was really cool also. All those Jedis, there were at least 20 of them in it.

I would strongly recommend seeing it!

There were ALOT more than 20 Jedi fighting against the Trade Federation Droids. I would say that there were upwards to 50.

Actually, around 200 Jedi showed up for the Collesium showdown.

Okay. I thought I heard that number, but I wasn't sure. So I wa just being conservative.

Ginkasa 05-18-2002 02:20 PM

I don't think it was 200. 100 tops, though I'm thinking more around 50-90 Jedi.

Sorry for the double post... But Star Wars Episode II racked in 30 million dollars on Thursday.

Quote:

The final take of $30,141,417. established a new record for a weekday non-holiday opening. However, the one-day record belongs to "Spider-Man," which opened to $39.4 million May 3, a Friday.

"Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace" opened to $28.5 million in 1999. Ticket prices have increased in the interim.

Fox is not predicting how much the new "Star Wars" film may make in its first weekend, but industry observers project it will earn more than $100 million between Thursday and Sunday. It is not expected to break the three-day total of $114 million set by "Spider-Man."

The box office comparisons between "Attack of the Clones" and "Spider-Man" are inevitable. But "Star Wars" is playing on just 6,000 screens in North America; "Spider-Man" opened on more than 7,500 screens, increasing its earning potential.

A broader comparison between "Star Wars: Episode II" and "Spider-Man" reveals some notable differences: "Spider-Man" cost an estimated $125 million to make; "Star Wars: Episode II" reportedly cost $80 million to $100 million. Columbia Pictures spent $50 million to market "Spider-Man"; industry observers believe Lucas spent around $30 million to market "Star Wars: Episode II."

Just saw episode 2. Loved it. And I did NOT like episode 1 at all.

Coudnt have had a better ending.

I also applaud John William's new theme''across the stars''

its amazing, the guy is about the croak and he still knocks out incredible music.

The novelization states that 200 showed up.

I SAW IT!!
Well I thought I was going to see it next weekend but since it was snowing yesterday I saw it with my family then... yes I said snowing. Anyway I'm going to see it today also :) 2 times in one weekend sounds good to me...

It was really cool and I love it! As soon as the movie was over I said "Damn, I can't wait till three comes out!" my mom laughed at me... It seemed to make the other movies make more sense.
Got to love the Yoda scene :D, hehe

Didn't look like that many though, IMO....

DeathsHand 05-19-2002 03:35 PM

I don't know about 200 (although the thing says so), but there were a good bit more than 50... did you see all those light sabers turn on? It was all crazy phat shnitz!

Joeiss 05-19-2002 03:40 PM

Well, there were alot of Jedi. They were all around the colliseum. And there were two different stories that they were on. And you could see ALOT of light sabres in the backgound and stuff.
