And the problem I have with the mirrored version is that's just not how it was originally designed. The different perspective could throw off something, or create a different interpretation from the player.

I mean, it probably wouldn't be major, but it wouldn't be what the artist originally intended. Example: The art in manga used to be switched so that English speaking readers wouldn't have to flip through the pages "backwards." It makes enough sense, except that words in the art and other similar things were suddenly backwards. That's the kind of thing I'm scared of.

It wouldn't ruin the game, and I do plan to play both version, I'd just rather play the "normal" one first.

Sounds very reasonable. I think I posted more in response to the people that aren't reasonable about it, the ones who act like it's the end of the world now that Link is right-handed -- i.e. the IGN forum-goers (I don't know why I still look at that message board anyway) and their ilk.

I admit it. I stole from Dyne. I was like, "Boy, Dyne sure made a nice point. I wish I had made it." So I stole it. I stole his post like a perverted man steal's a young girl's virginity.

Yes, the sole reason I explained "my own" thoughts on Zelda was simply because Dyne had also said those same thoughts. Why, I don't know what I'd be thinking about this mirrored Zelda if it weren't for Dyne. I'd be lost and clueless. I'm sure glad he was here to guide me through my way....
