Well well, I have to say that their N64 days were supreme. Perfect Dark, Banjo-Kazooie, Golden Eye, Diddy Kong Racing....

Yeah, Rare hit its peak in the N64 days. Alot of good games from them but next gen has been a major downhill for them. Hopefully the "new" Conker game will be great. It's the reason I'm buying an Xbox but not really going to until the game is out.

you're buying an XBox solely because of a remake?

Amen.

Rare's best games were on the N64, and the only ones I really liked was Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, and Jet Force Gemini was alright.

I loved Conker on the N64 and after hearing they are doing a graphic overhaul of the SP mode, I'm getting it to play it over again but with alot better graphics. Multiplayer will be played here and there but it won't be as good for me as playing the funny SP all over again.

Am I the only one that really enjoyed Star fox Adventures? I mean sure it wasnt Zelda, but I still thought it was a very decent game. And the graphics were IMO the best that were done on the Gamecube up until that point. And its still one of the best looking games graphically on the Cube.

I didn't think it was that bad either... people just had such high expectations...

Yeah.

Everyone was expecting it to be good.

The problem with Star Fox Adentures is that they took a character out of context and put him into a completley different type of game. People like StarFox because it's about flying Arwings in tons of different adventures and missions. Some were 'free flying' levels and others were guided but it was pretty much always in an Arwing with the occasional tank or underwater craft. And it was fun.

So then they create SFA which is a fusion of a game once known as Dino Crisis and input characters from the SF world. The end result is a disappointment. Now Fox McClouyd is riding around helping Dinosaurs and stuff and befriending a triceratops. What's up with that? The correct way would've been to make new characters for this Dino Crisis game and leave the StarFox characters to their own game.

You are exactly right.

SF64 was one of my favorite games. Ever. This is why I am so excited about the one Namco is making. I think it will bring us back the good ol' star fox roots, back in the day when you could beat the game in a few tries, but you kept playing and playing and playing to get those high scores, hidden planets, and badges.

I just hope they dont overdo the "on foot" missions. Maybe one or two, but that's it. 90% of the game should take place in the arwing.

i actually think that Rareware's best days were on the SNES, I think that the original donkey Kong is more fun than Banjo Kazooie, I've played through it at least 50 times, and I'd play another 50 times, the 2 player Co-op simply kicked ass at the time. True the Donkey Kong series did go downhill after that, but even the sequels were pretty fun, once again, especially with 2 players. And while we're on the topic of Donkey Kong, am i the only person who actually liked the N64 version? I found it pretty damn fun.

Donkey Kong 64 was a good game indeed, but making you do the same things over and over and over and over and over became NOT FUN. I did beat the game, but refused to conquer it because it was so goddamn tedious.

I liked the N64 version of Donkey Kong. It wasn't the best one but it was fun.
The rap at the beginning of the game was so great. Probably my favorite part.

I loved it too. One of my favourite games on the GCN. I remember most, if not all of it. It was a very memorable experience.

Does anyone have anything else to say about Capcom?
