Go Red Sox! This series is great, and it would be awesome to see them go to the World Series. It will be a new baseball record, first team to win after being down 3 games to 0!

Its already a record.

They are the first team to be down 3-0 and force a game 7.

That's what I meant. I didn't word it right. What I was saying was they could potentially be the first team to advance to the next round after being down 3 games to nothing. Anyway, right now they're winning 6-0!

Actually..I did mean something different. You're saying they're the first team to be down 3-0 and force a game 7, and I'm saying that they'll potentially be the first team to be down 3-0 and win four straight to advance to the next round.

He should be pitching in St. Louis.

Your knowledge impresses me.

Well, thank you.

Yeah, Cardinals pulled it off tonight! On to game 7.

Go Cardinals!!!

Edit: And a brilliant victory for the Boston Red Sox. I am indeed impressed.

Well then you better hope the Cardinals lose tonight because they are hungry for a championship. Gonna be quite a game.

Oh, right, i forgot, since you know, they always win the chapionships...oh wait....no they dont.

If anything the Cards should watch out, because the Sox are hungry for a championship.

Boston, are you ready for this?

Yep, Boston will be tough to beat. I'd like to see them break the curse, but not against the Cardinals. Sorry boys, you might just have to wait another year to lift that curse.

WORLD SERIES BABY!

I didn't know Schilling got traded to boston.

Hmm.....i think the cop was secretly a Cards fan in desguise...killing of Boston fans one by one so they cant get revenue to afford to pay the players and then that hopefully this will all happen by Saturday.

Its foolproof.

That has to be the reason.

I am a Mets fan, so I'm not all concerned about the World Series. I'm glad the Yankees lost. They really piss me off. I don't like Boston too much either, but I'd like to see them win the series just so Yankee fans can shut up about that ridiculous Bambino curse. The Cardinels I don't care so much about. I never really liked them a lot. I do like them more than the Braves though

Well..I guess I'll be rooting for Boston in the series. Meh.

Anywho...im glad its not the Yankees that the Cardinals are facing, because that way if they do lose it, I wont be all that pissed off(I'll still be pissed) because Id also like to see Boston win(not near as much as Id like to see my Cardinals win, but eh) I hate the Yankees. It should be a very good series, I think the Cardinals will definatley be favored. Game 1 is at 7PM CT Saturday, October 23rd.

Dark Samurai 10-22-2004 09:48 PM

Re: MLB Playoffs 2004.

Well I want the Red Sox to win for two reasons... 1: To break that superstitious "Bambino Curse" and 2: Because the Cardinals beat the Dodgers in the Division Series...

All in all, I expect a clash of titans to ensue on FOX... cant wait...

I'm glad he's with the Red Sox. Just him alone wouldn't have lifted the Phillies to the World Series, but he can greatly help the Red Sox. I want the Red Sox to win very badly.

Just curious:

how many of you who are pulling for the Red Sox are actual fans and how many would like just like to see them win because of the curse (or other reasons)?

I actually like the Red Sox.

Ive liked them since i was like.....12. I got a baseball game and I thought Fenway park was an awesome stadium...it sounds wierd...but I started to liek them because of their stadium.

The breaking of the curse would just be better.

I'm not an actual fan, I like the Phillies. I just want them to win so the real fans can quit whining.
