I used the "Nintendo Fans" generalization because I have seen more Nintendo Fans than not acting in the immature way i described. So I'll amend it to "most Nintendo Fans". Happy?

people like GameKinG shouldn't even be in the XBox forum, because they couldn't care less about it. he obviously came here to put down Perfect Dark in some way or another, which is easy to do now that it's on the XBox...I'm sure all Nintendo fans would "fall in love" with the new look, just like almost all did with Zelda's new look if the game was for Gamecube.

I still stick with my point. I really do think that the Perfect Dark franchise is messed up because of this decission. I mean, Perfect Dark was amazing (to me, anyways) because the graphics were amazing, and everybody looked life-like. There is no doubt in my mind that the online multiplayer will be AMAZING, but I don't like this whole cartoony thing. And when I played PD for N64, I thought it was sweet because it was like I was an agent in the future and stuff... I just can't see that bringing me the same feeling as a cartoon.

Zelda was nevet SUPPOSE to be realistic. I didnt complain about zelda when I saw it on N64, because It looked like it had before, just 3D, and even a little more realistic.

Im not trying to discriminate against this game and it cartoon style, I am a cube fan after all. I just have a few doubts this game will feel the same with that bit of cartoon flare.

For all we know it may be as good as PD...

I'll stick with my point, which actually makes sense. You think that Perfect Dark is "messed up" because its on the XBox. You've seen a couple of pictures and maybe a trailer, and now you think that Perfect Dark is worthless. Your opinion have nothing to do with the game, and everything to do with the console that game is on. C'mon... just admit it... you know you want to...

Did you read my second post? The orignal Perfect Dark was so good, IMO, because it was realistic and it made me think that I was actually an agent in the future. I really cannot see this game having the same feel with it being a cartoon.

I do not think that Perfect Dark is "messed up" just because it is on the Xbox. I think I can safely assume from this comment that you think that I am a Nintendo fanboy. Well, I've got news for you. I do not even own a GCN, and I really do not care what system Rare makes games for because I never had the chance to play them on the PS2, and I never thought I was going to, and now I cannot once again. This new Perfect Dark game will be totally worthless to me. I think that the cartoon look is absolutely horrible. I like realism in games, and the original gave me a great sence of it. I did not expect any less from the sequal, but now it will be more crap, which is why I am mad.

There is no doubt in my mind that this game will sell millions of copies. There is no doubt in my mind that this game will have an outstanding multiplayer (both online or offline). And there is no doubt in my mind that the single player mode will be great. But they messed up on my favourite part of the game : the realism. This is why I think that the game should just rot in hell.

From what I heard, that's just the model, concept art of the model the game will use. There could be cartoony pics of the old Joanna, but does that mean that's how she will 100% look in the game? No

If you watch the video, J.D looks just like that! Stamper Brothers has also confirmed this.

The enemies will most likely be cartoon, since Joanna is a cartoon, thus eliminating the realism, IMO.

I find it funny that when MS bought Rare Nintendo fans tried to make it sound as bad as possible... then when Nintendo funds some new no-name development houses thier games are all hyped up, and it's "OK" to predict that they are the second coming

Anyway, I don't think FPS's shouldn't be cartoons. Its very weird... But then again we don't know IF the next Perfect Dark game is an FPS do we?

Most likey the next PD is a FPS but if it isnt it will surely surprise me.

I never played Perfect Dark and I always had a expansion pack... I was mostly interested in RPG's back then.

Well, we don't know for sure, but it's pretty much assumed. Although you never know.
