I can dress up like one.

BLARRRRR!

And some mix up with his ticket today so he had to change his plans. Says he is coming out tomorrow by plane to Seattle then train or bus up to Vancouver.

Then I'm trying to convince him to go to the Arms

Re: A Penguin in Canada: BreakABone Goes North: The Earl Rufus Story

Hahaha.
I can't believe the Arms will be one of his first Canadian experiences.
That is so so sad in so many ways.
But dear God, I'm going there regardless.

You are such an alcoholic.

This is why we can be friends.

Well, that and your hot mom.

Couldn't we not go to The Arms?

Earl will think we're all rednecks.

The whole point of going to the Arms was cheap beer you fools. $1.50!

I know Adam doesnt care, but whole the hell cares about him?

Re: A Penguin in Canada: BreakABone Goes North: The Earl Rufus Story

I don't see how pants get smelly. I really don't. They just get dirty. And unless it's winter, and it's all wet and muddy around, my pants never need washing.

Of course, that may be because I only get to wear my pants twice or so a week. And since I have 6 pairs of pants..

Dylflon 01-08-2009 02:11 PM

Re: A Penguin in Canada: BreakABone Goes North: The Earl Rufus Story

Is Earl in by tomorrow?

Because I can visit him tomorrow. But not today.

Earl is in today, and he wants to go to the bar from 10-2 apparently. Hahaha. New York people are crazy. I say we leave it until one big thing Saturday.

Just twice a week? What do you wear when you're not wearing your pants?

I think I wear mine for 3-5 days or so. It depends on how dirty they get.

Meeting the penguin tomorrow

Re: A Penguin in Canada: BreakABone Goes North: The Earl Rufus Story

I gonna go with Bube here, I wear my jeans for several weeks, months even, without giving them a wash.

Helps them maintain their original color, and also breaks them in quite nicely. Plus, if I'm gonna be sweating, I'll be wearing shorts anyway, so my bottoms don't tend to stank up.

Re: A Penguin in Canada: BreakABone Goes North: The Earl Rufus Story

A: John, I don't drink anymore. I go to cheap beer nights for socailizing with people from high school.

B: Bars in Poco close at 1, not 2. Sometimes earlier depending on how business is going. Downtown they close later.

C: Me and Earl already had discussions about The Arms. I've told him what type of people go there in detail. The main selling point is that he does not have a lot of spending money, and alcohol is relatively cheap.

D: Sam's is nothing special. It's like a pseudo-high-class combination of the The Treehouse and Dewy's.

E: Why not just meet him at Adam's on Saturday? That's the most cost effective way of getting everyone together for sure.

I think it is awesome how a thread about Early Bird has turned into a discusion on pants.

And Adam, bar tonight. Cheap beer. Earl likes cheap beer.

Oh, and about pants.

You guys are fucking gross.
The most I wear jeans is maybe 3 times without washing, not to mention I have about 4 pairs of jeans.

I have like 10 pairs of Jeans, and I wear them twice before washing, but always hang them up after wearing so hopefully they air out any unpleasantness. This has allowed me to have nice looking jeans for around 4 years now since I bought them long ago.

Now if I ever gain weight I'm a dead man.

You better watch out. Earl is a real dog. He'll try to bring a lady back to whoever's pad that he is staying at. Did he bring his batman bedsheets?

Why don't you drink?

BY THE WAY, when did everyone become a bunch of pansies. Jeans were invented for like cowboys or some shit so you could break them in with your boots and not have to wash them for several weeks because real men don't wash jeans, they do things on ranges and chew spitting tobacco and smoke cigarillos. Seriously guys, what the fuck.

Does this badass wash his jeans:

I don't think so.

Anyway, I wash my jeans every 3 or 4 weeks, albeit I do not wear them everyday. And I have 3 pairs of jeans, 2 pairs of sweats, and loungey pajama pants.

Adam, You're just drunk.
That's all.

BreakABone 01-09-2009 01:25 PM

Re: A Penguin in Canada: BreakABone Goes North: The Earl Rufus Story

On the subject of pants, I own about a dozen jeans and so and some basic dress-esque pants like khakis and slacks.

I try to avoid wearing the same jeans more than once every two weeks, which is why I asked to begin with as I only wanted to pack 7 jeans as I would wash them in between my trip. :lolz:

I did go to Arms and really don't know what the big deal is, it wasn't a bad bar. Was pretty well lite compared to the ones I go to at times.

I met Adam (of course), Dylan (Swan) and Typhoid. So far, I think they are all good people. Thieves... as Dylan stole my metrocard and I think Typhoid pocketed 10 bucks. :p

Slander and lies!
Slander and lies!:sneaky:

I pocketed the 10 as a joke. I was going to give it back when we went to Subway, but it was closed.
So I just sort of forgot, haha.
To be fair, it's only about 8.50 American.

Since I can't come out tonight I suggested we go to sushi and then game party at Adam's after everyone gets home from the aquarium tomorrow.

We need to work out a 4 xbox system link.

Earl's watching 24 premiere at 8pm. He can't miss it. Just keep that in mind.

Becky also wants to meet Earl - party at Kisoya then and afterparty at Pearl Fever?

Mmm, sushi.

24 party at my house tomorrow? Can you download and watch the first part in time, earl?

If not, we could probably just play mario kart and watch dark knight. I'm off school at like 2:30.

There's a distinct lack of penguin in the city now. I have to settle for baby barn owl videos. The stuff of nightmares.
