Ok, now with the correct formatting: !vote Professor S. He shouldn't fear anything, because others seem to be outvoted anyway. :)

I !vote for Professor S
Seems far too eager to prove someone else an alien. |
Re: Mafia: THE THING
I still don't get the need for the alternate names and the whole back story if it's never revealed who everyone is.

Plus some of the characters are tied to abilities. It's just for fun. And the roles are revealed when the person dies. It's just more interesting than: Today's Deaths: Joey joe joe - vigilante marioX - normal etc. |

ivote breakabone
By the way, my friend BigJustinw wants to join too and he also votes for Mr. Penguin. ;) |

Re: Mafia: THE THING
Bennings, the research team’s meteorologist sits alone nursing a glass of scotch. He contemplates the events of that day and his near fatal (not really) shooting at the hands of the Norwegians. But right then, something foreign brushes up against his leg. He jumps up knocking over the card table that provided a surface for his drink. The scotch did not survive the fall.
It was the husky. “Clark! Take the fucking dog to the kennel! I was shot today!” Bennings would use this to appeal for sympathy two more times that night when Childs has his TV too loud and when he wants Nauls to get up to make him some waffles. Clark saunters into the room at no alarming pace and lightly grabs the husky by the scruff. “Let’s go.” Clark puts the new arrival in kennel, locks the door, and wanders off to go to bed. The new husky sits, looking intently at the other dogs…inquisitive even. The rest of the dogs start to back away. Some of them growl, others whine, but all are terrified as if they know exactly what is about to happen. The intruder husky begins to convulse, its eyes rolling back in its head. The dog begins to spray a strange liquid on the other dogs. The sled dogs are all barking their heads off at this point. One starts trying to bite through the wire mesh that constitutes the kennel walls. Then a series of whip-like red tentacles extend from the intruder dog which wrap around the other huskies. Clark reenters the room to see what the commotion is about. “Yeah, yeah, you all need to just-“ Clark stares in horror at the scene unfolding before his eyes. He is almost too dumbfounded to hit the alarm that was mounted a mere two feet away from him. The alarm blares throughout the camp, rousting the men from their beds. Several of them rush into the kennels lead by MacReady. They all stop dead uttering almost in unision “What the fuck?” “Go get Childs! Tell him to bring the flamethrower”, MacReady yells. Garry decides it can’t wait and begins shooting the dogs that are wrapped in the alien’s tentacles. Clark yells in horror and tackles Garry to the ground. Fuchs, an assistant biologist rushes back into the room. “MacReady! I can’t find Childs!” “What do you mean you can’t find him?” “Well, he’s not in his room and he’s not here.” “Son of a bitch!”, MacReady yells as he rushes to the storeroom for one of Childs modified flamethrowers. Clark can take no more and rushes into the kennel to save the remaining dogs. As he opens the kennel door, one dog bursts out, whining and scampering to safety. The alien dog extends one of its tentacles which then wraps around Clark’s jugular. MacReady returns, wielding a flamethrower and prepares to set the whole kennel ablaze. “Wait!”, shouts assistant mechanic Palmer, “Clark is still in there!” The men observe the dog handler’s state. The alien being is strangling his with one tentacle while penetrating him with three others. The general consensus at this point is to burn the bitch down. MacReady lets loose with the flamethrower burning up everything in its path. The alien dog makes a sickening cracking sound as it splits in half. One half burns to death while the other half extends tentacles upwards and pulls itself into the air duct. The rest of the men stare on helplessly. Todays's deaths Green - Clark (uninfected) - killed by mob vote Clark had no powers but did know the idendity of one other player. |

Re: Mafia: THE THING
This is actually kind of funny.
Green plays these games with me on the PA boards and I thought he'd be good because he could help you all learn what to do. And then you went and killed him. I guess we learned who the real alien monsters are here. |
Re: Mafia: THE THING
Mwaaa hahahahaaaa!
*wrings hands furiously with wrathful glee* |
Re: Mafia: THE THING
Yeah... I feel kind of bad that we voted out Green already.
Sorry. :( |
Re: Mafia: THE THING
! Clarification
Is a new round open for suggesting murder? |
Re: Mafia: THE THING
You bet!
Also: I forgot to mention. The aliens have increased in number |
Re: Mafia: THE THING
I !vote Strangler or Professor S
Since he was a member of the anti-Green force. And we all liked the new guy. |
Re: Mafia: THE THING
I !vote for Germanator, for similar reasons as BaB. I'm sorry Green got ganged up on. I find it odd, that after the random number generator I used came up with 12 (Green), Typh and Germy quickly chose to vote for him too, and then Prof S had the latecomer vote to top it off. Hmmmm.....
|
Re: Mafia: THE THING
Fair enough. I'm not an alien, but now I've got to defend myself. I voted for Green just because somebody had to be voted for.
I !vote for manasecret |
Re: Mafia: THE THING
Can I use my special power to bring back Green as an alien? ;)
I really don't know who to vote on... I had the impression that Professor S just voted for Green to save his own ass. I wait with voting till tomorrow morning. Did anyone read my edit? Good, dismiss it. |
Re: Mafia: THE THING
Sorry about the lack of vote for yesterday. My alarm forgot to go off this morning so I could not vote.
|
Re: Mafia: THE THING
I !vote for manasecret, cause he always struck me s being husky. Why would you vote for me? I'M THE ONE TRYING TO SAVE OUR ASSES FROM THE DAMN ALIENS!!!
By the way, is anyone else going to get into the game, here? Lets get in character for Christ's sake!! |

If by husk poles, you mean flay the skin from polish people, then yes I do. Everyone should.
If by husk poles you think I mean masturbate, then eeeeewwwwwww... thats gross. |
Re: Mafia: THE THING
!Vote for Professor S
Random number generates one of the people I was considering.... IT IS A SIGN FROM THE HEAVENS! |
Re: Mafia: THE THING
Guys, come on now, if it was me would I be posting nearly this much? I'm trying to weed out the alien here by trying to get them to post and expose themselves a little, while the real damn alien sits in the shadows and probably hasn't posted more than once, if that! You'll be killing an ally here, you ingrates!
|
Re: Mafia: THE THING
The Professor has a point. If you want to win this game, you stay low-profile. You certainly don't want to draw attention to yourself.
Not that I would know who wóuld qualify for an alien... Oh no! I shouldn't post that much! :( |
Re: Mafia: THE THING
Clarifications:
If you retract, do it in a new post rather than editing. Also: vote in red, retract in green. |
Re: Mafia: THE THING

Ok: Hmm... ok I !retract Germanator and I !vote ProfessorS I'm not so sure -- if he really is an alien, he is making it really obvious. Too obvious perhaps, is the problem, but it does seem to be in ProfS's nature not to lie and be very upfront, considering all his debates. |
Re: Mafia: THE THING
Neo, GameMaster, and BLueFire need to post before 11am PST tomorrow or else they'll be removed.
If anybody who isn't playing wants to take one of their spots after that, I can swap them in. |
Re: Mafia: THE THING
The Professor has certainly been very outspoken, and it's hard to get a read on him. Definitely makes him suspicious, but I think I'll stick with my vote for now. Just a hunch that manasecret may be hiding more than he lets on.
|
Re: Mafia: THE THING
I don't think Strangler is dumb enough to make it that blatantly obvious.
I !vote manasecret |
Re: Mafia: THE THING
Haha Germy, you give me too much credit. I feel like Strangler now, if he is indeed uninfected. I don't know why you guys think I'm an alien, since I used a number generator to figure out my vote for Green. Then everyone tagged along with my vote.
I agree it is hard to get a read on Prof S, not sure which way he is, but I think, going back to the people that got on the Green train, that Mr. Typh is hiding out a bit lately. Everyone else has been outspoken, so what does that say? I !retract ProfessorS and I !vote Typhoid. I actually changed my vote from Germy to Typh right after Germy posted, but I immediately changed it back. I wanted to see how others would vote and what they would say (or wouldn't say) before I switched over to Typhoid. |
Re: Mafia: THE THING
Hmm...I think I might blow some minds with this, but I'm going to do this. Bond, you saying that the Professor is too smart to be that obvious, I think you're right. He's playing so dumb that he's being smart, yeah? Anyway...
I !retract manasecret I !vote Professor S |
