Re: PSP: I'm submitting

from what i read, it actually replaces the files for the background. i'll have to read up on that some more to see, maybe it doesnt effect the originals at all.

[EDIT]
omg, just tried the doom game, wow. im not exactly sure what that is, like a port of the PC version? its not an emulator of one of the consoles tho its its own game, runs extremly smooth, i'm quite amazed at that one, i hear that also have Quake. i shall now go in search of Quake. :)

Null do you use the Doom program the same way you run the emulators?

Edit: Nevermind I got it! Woot!

I've heard some bad things about Doom. Crap about corruption and all that.

Eh, I'm happy with my emus.

Does it run full-widescreen? Or is it just fitted?

Re: PSP: I'm submitting

Ok I have a question about the SNES Emulator...

When I play any game on it, it runs extremely slow... So I piddle with all the graphics and speed settings, and it tends to get a little more playable, but anytime anything happens in the game it starts running slooooow again, and when I enter new areas of the game the speeds and everything switch up, so I constantly have to change the settings.....

Uhhh is this how it is for everyone else with it? Or does Jesus just hate me?

Re: PSP: I'm submitting

give it a bit more time. same with a GBA one, they're going to eat up a bit more power from the PSP, and right now its only going to run i'd say at 80-95% power. they need to work on it a bit more, optimize it and improve the emulator, i believe it will be done and running very nicely, its just going to take a bit more time.

Yeah, it's different for different games. I find Claymates is about the speediest platform I'm playing right now.

Try these settings; they seem to work the best:

Quote:

try these settings for SNES:

Transparancy: off

sound: 11112 hz or whatever the lowest one is

frameskip: 2+

333 mhz

graphics/sound settings: add about +.4, increase by +.1 if needed until you're satisfied

after reading up on it more, yes, it Perminatly replaces the original backgrounds. Altho i found the original backgrounds to download again, so its all good.

gunna try and make my own i think.

[edit]

and just tried that Genesis emulator and thats very very nice. cant wait till they get the SNES one up and running as well as that one already is. as well as a GBA one. :)

And im sure it wont be long before someone makes a Divx player for it now :) i can store my videos in better quality, lower space with divx, quit using thoes stupid converter programs. woo!

*goes back to playing sonic*

Big update for thoes running emulators on PSP now...........

Tomorrow we'll no longer need to swap memory sticks. Aparently now all us 1.5 users will be able to do it just like 1.0, one memory stick. select and load up the emulator or external app.

:)

Re: PSP: I'm submitting

so the PSPs that are currently in stores...emulators are working on them?

I no longer have my SNES or NES or Genesis and I want to play a lot of my old games...plus, maybe demo a few of the other games :sneaky:

If this is the case, I may have to run to stores and buy a PSP...now

Null 06-21-2005 02:34 PM

Re: PSP: I'm submitting

i'm under the impression that ones in stores now are still 1.5

cant say im 100% sure on that though

They are all 1.5s, and will be for a while. Until fall. This is confirmed.

Anyways, the one-card solution sounds great. I only did the swap about three times but this is great news.

I have to say, I say Phils PSP and it is one sexy piece of ass. Heavier than I expected, but hot ass nonetheless.

Id have sex with it. Watch out Phil. Watch out. I might sex it up.

But I think thats crazy awesome all the things you can do with it. The games, the movies, the music, the images, the Emulators....its almost orgasm enducing. I actually might get one once the price drops.

Re: PSP: I'm submitting

Well Typhoid, I read somewhere on GameSpot that the PSP will be selling solo units by Q4 2005.... to kinda balance the Xbox 360 launch.... although... might not do much, it'll raise eyebrows for those who want it now and waiting for a price drop.

Hey guys, the KXploit is supposedly out now. I'm going to go find it and I'll post a link if I do.

That means you only need one memory card now.

i aleady posted it was out the other day. hehe. :p

been using it past couple days, works very nicely, only problem is for every emulator or program in the momory stick menu, theres also gotta be a corrupt data one. just how it works.

And you dont even need th KXploit program, i f you have the other that converts it into memory stick 1 and memory stick 2... just rename memory stick 1's folder with a % after.
So say you had a NES emulator with the swap trick, and both folders were named NES on each memory stick....... rename MS1's to NES% then put them on the same memory card. thats how it works.

Then the best way i find to deal with the corrupt data issue. is if you put all the normal folders on first, then all the ones with the % in em 2nd. all the programs will be at the top of the list while the corrupt data ones will be at the bottom.

Wait wait wait, let me get this straight.

Swaploit's completely useless if you just add the MS1 to MS2 and add the %? All the problems are solved with one symbol?

Null 06-23-2005 05:52 PM

Re: PSP: I'm submitting

yup. thats all the new program does. same as the old one, except adds a % and puts it on 1 mem card.

i was kinda pissed at him for making us wait an extra time when he coulda just announced that was all there was to it.
