Re: Harry Potter!!
Oh...well...then...nevermind...
However, I do suggest you read Prisoner of Azkaban, if not the whole series. There is a lot of backhistory and stuff that was left out of the movie that, if it doesn't make anything clearer, is at least interesting. And nice to know. And the book is always better anyway. *shrugs and walks away* |
Re: Harry Potter!!
My date had a few bones to pick with it but overall we were very entertained.
![]() For one we could definitely tell the difference in directing. The choice of shots was rather different from the previous movies, and it just didn't have that "magical" feel they did. There IS confusing parts in the movie. But it all becomes clear eventually. It's really not that hard a movie to follow. Dumbledore's actor apparently changed, too. I didn't even notice; I guess I'm not a stickler for those things. Heh. |

Haha... That line cracked me up the most. |
Re: Harry Potter!!
I saw Harry Potter last night at 6:00. I liked it a lot. The new Dumbledore doesn't act exactly like the original though. And me and my friends agreed that we missed seeing Dumbledore and Harry have a long talk like they usually do at least once in every movie. And I must say, Hermione has become quite easy on the eyes, if you know what I mean. ;) Buckbeak was cool too.

Yep, gotta love that 13 year old ass   I think I've gotten over the whole Olsen Twins thing though. I still have a hard time shaking the full house images out of my mind. They're...hot. |

Ya.....those pre-pubecent days didn't really do it for me. But now, well they are hot, but the novelty is starting to wear off. Kind of like an over-hyped game, thats been hyped up for like, 7 years, then comes out and sucks. |
Re: Harry Potter!!
A few weeks ago some magazines had some pictures of them at some premiere for their movie or something, and one of them is noticeably thin and the magazines acknowledged this. She was bony, eww.

Re: Harry Potter!!
Of course the new Dumbledore didn't act exactly like Richard Harris. It wouldn't have been good if he did. Everybody knows its a new guy playing Dumbledore, there's no hiding it. I'd rather the actor make the character his own rather than try to imitate Harris.

Re: Harry Potter!!
**SPOILER WARNING**
The entire firbolt part was horribly done....but other than that i thought it was great. and the actor for hermione is hot.....(shes 17)......the actor for malfoy is different...but he's still decent. i think the actor picks for both lupin and sirius were horrible.......i always pictured sirius as more of an aragorn person. As for lupin, guess it was alright, but his werewolf form looked weak..... The special effects were nice, but most of all, you GOTTA love the jamaican talking head ("Dis iz gonna be a bompy ride!") |

And the movie was great...I really enjoyed it, much better than the first two movies. Better director (makes a world of difference), better story (3rd book was my favourite), better acting. 4 stars. |
Re: Harry Potter!!
Its not that pedophilic if you're sixteen, which gimpy is (unless his profile...lies...for some...reason). A girl I know was dating a 17 year old when she was 14 (well...she's still dating him... I think... ages are different of course....16 and 19...).
So... Maybe not so wrong... Very annoying though. Very, very annoying. *shrugs and walks away* |
Re: Harry Potter!!
Just because your friend did it, that doesnt make it not pedephelia. Its still disgustingly wrong...well to me anyways.

Re: Harry Potter!!
Ginkasa is wrong. The new Dumbledore replacement needs to act EXACTLY as Richard Harris did. To do otherwise simply ruins the character. It'd be okay if Richard Harris had never been Dumbledore but since he was, the replacements need to follow his interpretation.

Re: Harry Potter!!
It was good. saw it on opening night. also saw kitana in the same theater after the movie

It ruins the character if one actor tries to perfectly imitate another actor. Acting is like anything else, people do it differently. Faced with the same character, two different actors will always give you two completely different performances. Trying to perform in some way not natural to the actor can ruin his performance. Its better for an actor to portray his own interpretation of the character and perform his best rather than copy someone else and give a mediocre or bad performance. *shrugs and walks away* |
