Re: so...PAPER MARIO
+ rep to anyone who remembers where the guys from the 3rd picture on the second page are from (game, how they travelled, & before which castle)
|
Re: so...PAPER MARIO
Aren't those from SMB2? Didn't they jump up and down all the time??
|
Re: so...PAPER MARIO
I know they were in Super Mario World on the SNES. They traveled on the line things that the platform Mario moved on. I dont remember which castle it was before unfortunately:(

Re: so...PAPER MARIO
no, those dudes were from super mario 2 and they went up and down on the bean stocks.... now gimme my rep....:-)
i said this a long time ago, but the super mario 2 booklet describes birdo as a guy who likes to dress up like a girl, i'll scan it if anyone want to see it. |
Re: so...PAPER MARIO
well actually they appeared in both SM 2 and SMW....in SM2 they did go down on the bean stocks, whereas in SMW they were in a forest level right before the second castle and they travelled on little wires....they also appeared on another level in chocolate land, but i forget which exact one.... +rep to all of you for being partially correct :)

Re: so...PAPER MARIO
What the? It looks like they pasted jpegs onto a background and called it paper. Why not just go 2D in a 3D enviornment without the choppy edges?
Dyne, do Nintendo a favor and clean up the edges of those pictures (i.e. the big red dinosaur/dragon). I think you could do a lot better job than what they've got going so far. On a light note, I think the game has a wee bit potential if the engine was indeed switched up. I like 2D games a lot more than 3D... and it's nice to see a game try to preserve the art of the old, even if it is on a 3D background. +points for the novelty of it, at the very least. |
