Re: Guess the date Revolutions is coming to DVD
:stupid:
A movie in cinema costs between €7 and €8 here, in the weekend. During the week it's about €6, or €5 with discount for students. :) I liked Revolutions, but I didn't feel the need to see it again... |

Re: Guess the date Revolutions is coming to DVD

Re: Guess the date Revolutions is coming to DVD
I suppose I'll take time out here to inform midwesterners that the Marcus Theaters are the best deal in movies. Go before 5:15, catch the early show for $5.25 buy a 32oz pop for $4.00, after that show (since the marcus theaters are so huge, there's 0 security coverage) refill your pop (refills are free) and go to another show. 2 moves, 64 ounces of pop, $9.25.
Though I suppose it is illegal, everyone does it, and everyone KNOWS that everyone does it, it's kind of a traditonal thing, so long as you don't sneek into a sold out show, they never kick you out. It's to the point where it's almost as if the theaters are marketed towards people seeing 2 for the price of one. Oh yeah, almost forgot: Free refills on popcorn too. |
Re: Guess the date Revolutions is coming to DVD
Costs me 7 bucks cdn at night. I'm a student.
You're prices are outrageous. The most I've payed for a theatre ticket was at collossal in Langley when I went to see the fellowship. |

Re: Guess the date Revolutions is coming to DVD
Here at the not-sh*tty theatres (I especially frequent the Cineplex Odeon) it's like 12 or 13 bucks Canadian for an adult ticket. Add to that some popcorn, a pop, and maybe a little something else (a chocolate bar or whatever) and a night at the movies is usually about 25-30 bucks a person.
I think at the cheap theatres the admission is like 5 or 6 bucks, but they only play old sucky movies, and they end up gouging you a bit at the concessions anyway. |
Re: Guess the date Revolutions is coming to DVD
I always bring my own food, even though it's not allowed. Prices for food are crazy, €3 for half a litre of coke.

Re: Guess the date Revolutions is coming to DVD
My friend once smuggled in a 12 pack of coke into the theaters. The next challenge is an entire pizza in it's box.

The fact that he hasn't answered back to the post makes me wonder, but I'm happy to just wait for him. It's not that important. The teenagers thing is a tangential comment and a joke besides. |
