from what I've read, Julius Ceaser was tremendous. If he hadn't been killed, who would've known what he could have done.

Hmmm. There are some great conquerors out there you guys arent mentioning.

Cant believe no has said Napoleon. That guy was the second anti-christ, and he was brilliant. We could very well be speaking French right now if his ego hadnt gotten so large and he tried to take Russia.

And the Spaniards arent getting any credit. They were extremely large at one point. They owned all of central america, mexico, and a lot of South America. Very impressive in my opinion. And Hornando de Cortest (Spanish) canquered some of the greatest Indian Empires of all time.

Atilla the Hun was cool too...until he drown on his own blood...from a nose bleed.

The Spaniards did have a large empire, but they also picked their fights very carefully. Its very easy to conquer the Americas when you have guns and your enemies basically have sticks.

Lets not forget about America either. The entire country is an Empire that seceded and ther pushed all the way to the Pacific ocean.

Yes sir! Manifest Destiny.

But we are smart enough not to get too greedy and try to take over the world. Over expanding is the downfall of every great nation. They get so large, then collapse back in on themself.

Yes... soon we will democratize the entire world. After all, we are the first world power that has not horded its resources. (semi debatable)

Second? Who would he be after? If you're going by the Bible Code, he was first and "Hister" was second. Could've just been a typo on your part, I don't know what you meant.

But yes, Napolean was a pretty bright man. A bit peculiar that he pawned off Lousiana to a newbie country like the States though.

I read what you said. But during power he was glorious. After power, he got pushed around by all the other nations who were afraid of him managing to come back. And they all divided up the large nation of France among them.

Anyone (or thing) can be considered to be the Anti-Christ. Some people think rock is the Anti-Christ.

There is no "real" Anti-Christ though...

Like I said, I blame it all on my History teacher. :)

Wouldn't Satan be the first Anti-Christ?

From what I heard, the first Antichrist was Napolean, the second was Hitler, and the third and fourth, or the "twins," are Bush and Saddam. Then they had this crazy theory about Saddam, but he's kind of.. dead now. Or something.

It's all bull**** anyways.

Yes, I am sick of talking about religions. I got more than enough of that on the Religion forum. Sorry I even mentioned the anti-christ thing. I was just wanting to make about point about Napoleon.

So...back to great Conquerors.

Anyone here remember that Egyptian Pharoe that united Northern and Southern Egypt? I think his name was Ramses, but I dont know which number. :distress:
Anyway. He was pretty cool.

Also, can anyone think of some more ancient conquerors, like from Ancient Greece?
