Re: Fun Fact!
But wait, Your logic is incorrect because you have to figure in teh starving children as part of the dieing population so if we start feeding them then they wouldn't be starving and thus not die. So the number of people who die each day would decrease casusing starving people yet again :)

Re: Fun Fact!
I'm soo confused but if you feed people then they stop dying thus defeating the purpose of having people eat the dead when the dead stop dying.

http://www.sciflicks.com/soylent_green/ Also object of humor in SNL among other shows/movies. No doubt Simpsons had something to say about it. EDIT: Oh yes, I remember... in the Iron Chef spoof that Futurama had, the ingredient of the match was soylent green. |
Re: Fun Fact!

Re: Fun Fact!
Well, in a way we do eat people. You see, when people die, we either bury them or cremate them (or dump them into the sea). In any case, the body decomposes and eventually becomes a part of the soil or sea. And plants use those decomposed bodies to form their own bodies.
So, the chances are in fact very good that some of the atoms you have eaten were part of a human being at one point. But then again, some of the atoms that make up your own body used to be part of a plant. |
