*shrugs*... Just my little theory, I'm not saying it's actually the case... Just seems like it to me maybe... |
So what!? Will it make it any less good? No way! Zelda is going to be way above the level of any PS2-XBOX games. Just like Metroid.
|
I haven't seen any live footage or demos so I'm going to be real surprised when I pick it up.

And I don't think Metroid is above the level of some PS2 games... I dunno about Xbox cuz I've never played it, but I've gone over this a few times before... |

you are a funny one... yeah, I think Zelda will be a new level of gaming this generation, but metroid? LMAO I'm sorry, but I don't get what people like about that game. I'd take MANY games made for Ps2, Xbox, or GCN over it. Hell, I got the game for free when I re-purchased my GCN (got the platnum one) and I turned it in within 2 weeks for $15 which I put toward a superior game. (I chose not to name the game because I don't feel like fighting :)) |
the game.. what is it about metroid you hate so much man? I didnt get much time to play it but from what i played i seemed to really like it.... i only got up to that big plant boss with the solar panel things

You have to understand that different people have different opinions. My opinion is that Metroid Prime is overall the best game out of GC/Ps2 and Xbox, and I am guessing Zelda will be too (maybe after Metroid). That's just a guess though for Zelda, but the game looks amazing. For me there are Ps2 games that I really like, but when I compare them with Nintendo's exclusives (Zelda/Metroid/Mario Sunshine) they seem kinda at the "pretty good" level. I like Ps2 for its variety in games, and it's exclusive (well actually MGS ain't Ps2 exclusive anymore, so that just leaves GTA for me, no wait that's out on Pc, then there's FFX-2 and FFX). But the games I really get excited about aren't on the Ps2, and definitely not Xbox. |

Keep in mind, I'm a fan of sports, fighting, Racing, and FPS games... meaning I'm also a fan of instant action and satisfaction. If a game offers less than instant action, and any less than pulling me deep into the story from the gate, I won't like the game, period. I can hang with long games like FFX and Xenogears and Zelda because they get me wrapped up into the storyline, and at the same time offer fun gameplay. While Metroid from the gate offerd neither to me. I have heard many times "Keep playing deeper into the game, then you will like it!" If I don't like how the game feels, or the story, I have no reason to move any farther into a game. In metroid's case I dislike the concept, gameplay, and story, so in conclusion I don't like the game. I rented it twice, and even got it for free with my new platnum GCN, and it never once made me crack a smile or entertain me to the least bit. Just my opinion. |

If Nintendo kept the right developers and released the right games, I think hell I know I would be more excited about GCN. |

Your's is an opinion, and an unfair one. You cant base fact on something that doesnt exist right now (like future games). |

C'mon man... you can't be serious. First of all, you can't mix opinions with facts... you either use one or another. If you want to use facts let's use some. Like the fact that Metroid Prime isn't even the best selling game on it's console. And what's with the future predictions? How do you know if Metroid will ever be topped or not? Nothing in the future is a fact. |
