I really hope it's a remake of the very first Metal Gear... I hated that game... The gameplay sucked ass and it was slow and boring and all, but if they gave it MGS2 type gameplay I'm sure it'd be good :D
Either way IGN is still calling it a rumor and videogames.com hasn't said anything so yeah... |
Gamesradar seem to think that there will be a remake of MG on the NES will be coming exclusively on the Cube.

you're not alone here... i think it was the relentless cut scenes/codec communications that killed it for me |

It wasn't the cut scenes that bothered me , they were great.........it was something else besides the storyline( which took a downhill turn near the end IMO) . I just can't seem to put my hand on it. *ponders and walks away* |

Well, this news has been "confirmed" by several sources, but I still take it for a rumor. I mean you can find news on this at many sites including PlanetGamecube, Gamers.com, Gamers.com and even Konami.
Anyhow things to note form the multiple reports. -The Admin at Konami website never actually calls the game a metal Gear Solid which leads me to believe, it will probably be a remake of the original Metal Gear. -Thus far, it is only one game, so it probably won't be MGS 3 since that is going to PS2/3. -It is said to have GBA/GCN connectionn which isn't too hard to believe as I believe Hideo noted interest in connecting MGS 2 with the GBC when it was first being made not to mention Splinter Cell takes advantage of that feature. -The Internet knows how to feed rumors. |
IGN says the Metal Gear game is not a rumor.
http://cube.ign.com/articles/387/387596p1.html *adds game to must have list*:D Finally Nintendo is going after the major third parties. |

cut-scenes than actually playing. I hope it does turn out to be a 'Cube exclusive, something kind of nostalgic about playing MG on a Nintendo console. |
