Well, fortunatly the only two questions i missed on the entire test were parts B and C of that particluar question (if anyone REALLY wants to know I'll post the answer) but I did pull a 75 out of 90 overall so Im happy.

Well, let's see what I can do in a three minutes rush job. This is relatively simple compared to the organic chemistry that I'm doing right now, but I did learn it a year ago.
Okay, enough covering my butt. a) Ca(OH)2 + 2HCl ------> CaCl2 + 2(H2O) b) 0.0244 molar (half of the number of moles of HCl you titrated in multiplied by 10 because the solution was a tenth of a liter) c) .1808 grams per 100 mL. That's the answer to b) multiplied by the molecular weight of calcium hydroxide and divided by 10. So, how far off am I? Edit: Whoops. I was missing a 2 in front of the water molecule. |
