Re: Steam Holiday Sale

Hmm.. I just couldn't resist Torchlight at $5, so I got that today. I'm seeing that Borderlands is $10, so I might get that..

I wouldn't miss The Orange Box at $15, but I already have most of the games so.. Mass Effect at $10, BioShock at $5 look great as well.

Quick question about Borderlands: Do you play through the single player game in co-op multi, like in Halo 3? How does game saving and stuff work?

And here's a bigger question: I want to play multiplayer with my brother; Borderlands or Left 4 Dead or L4D2?

Do ya'll have L4D2 for PC? I would be more inclined to purchase it through Steam than for the 360.

For the sale yesterday I bought:

Battlefield Bad Company 2 for $6.79
Super Meat Boy for ~$2
The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom for $.50

Today I think I'm going to buy Aion for $10. It has a monthly fee, but I've always been really curious and wanted to check it out. I'm really considering Burnout Paradise the cd duplication and printing for $5 too.

I need to sit down and look through all the $5 indi game packs as well.

Aion really sucks IMO ;)

Ok, Left 4 Dead 2 at $6.79. Nobody bothered to answer my question but I'm buying this.

Woah, only $6.79? I'll buy that if some others do.

Buy it! Then my bro and I can play 3-player co-op with you!

Yeah and with my bro we'd have a full party...
But I have to pass on this one. When I played the demo of L4D1, I got nightmares remember?
I might play it if there was a way to disable the gore and make the zombies less human-like.

Hmm, then that may be a problem.

Although you can reduce the gore in L4D2 (don't know about 1), you can't turn it off completely. And I never even thought they resembled humans :)

Bought it as soon as I saw it.

Kind of unrelated but I bought World of Goo and it is probably the most awesome [insert genre] game I have played since Portal.

I classify World of Goo to be in the same genre as Pikmin and Portal. I have no clue what that genre would be other than original, groundbreaking and cute. Well Portal wasn't cute. But you get my point.

Think that its like a physics based puzzle game.

But video game genres are so tough to classify at times.
