I'll never sell my collection...in addition to sentimental value I don't have so many that they are inconvenient to store.

Also, games make really horrible collectors items (in terms of people who like to state their collections in terms of $$$). Except for a very few rare cases, they almost never appreciate in value.

Even the ones people are citing as "expensive" are selling for less than they did when they were first released. I'd rather keep my NES games than make a measly $15 off of it.

I still have a lot of Jurassic Park toys with the packaging. In a few years they'll be 20 years old.
I've seen them as an investment since the beginning. :)

No selling, throwing out. I threw out a ton of stuff that didn't work. It was just going to be a hassle if I ever move out of this place - lord knows it was a hassle moving it in.

If it doesn't work, it goes in the bin. Thankfully that only applied to a small portion of my stuff. Sega Master System and games, old Megadrive, Famicom Ripoff, and so on.

I also traded in a bunch of this-gen games, too. First time I've ever done it. It was for stuff that made sense though - I sold Viva Pinata 1 after playing Viva Pinata 2 and realizing its superiority. Also, EB Games had a crazy $25-for-each DS game extravaganza. I sold off Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, and NSMB for $75 alone, not to mention others. It was awesome.

Anyways, if you're not sentimental and want to show off on the internet about it, more power to you. I personally like taking the trip down memory lane with all my stuff. Playing the games on the controllers that they were meant to be played on. I would never give up Mario Golf 64 and my N64 - the summer-vacation nostalgia is intoxicating to me.
